that's the post-ranking system!

 

as you make more posts, you will see it change into different things from equestria. yours is a 'blank flank' because you have made less than 5 posts.

if you click on it, a pop-up will appear showing you how much posts you need to make before you become a different rank!

Normally you put them in the "about you" section on your profile. Just copy and paste the image into the box labelled "about me".

if you want to have pictures on your profile page, then you can add them like this:

 

go to your profile by clicking your name in the upper right hand corner.

then, you'll see a black button saying "edit my profile" (once again in upper right corner)

picture in spoiler below!

 

 

 

then, you'll need to scroll down a bit. (about half page and click this button:

 

 

 

a editor will pop up now, and you can add pictures to your profile in there! just click the little putton with a small picture of a tree and you can post links to pics in there!
