Bronies vs. Non-Bronies

That Horse

Recommended Posts

I noticed that bronies are happier, more respectful, and genrally better acting than non-bronies.

Well, that's my opinion. No offense to non-bronies and equines.

Eh, I don't think it's that cut-and-dry. In general I do notice that we can be very supportive and we do a lot of good things, but I've also seen my fair share of jerks, numbskulls, brats, and generally not-so-good people in this fandom as-well. I think we attract a lot of good people but it'd be dangerous to assume that just because someone is a Brony they are starting on higher ground than other people.

Bronies are people who a fan of the show, Non bronies are the opposite. It doesn't matter what who they are. It all depends on the personality of each individual

Becoming a brony does have a positive influence on some peoples lives but I don't think it is a magic cure all to turn a jackass into a nice person. There are nice people that are bronies, nice people that aren't and not so nice people that aren't bronies and not so nice people that are. People are people, something like one show even a very good one that again has had a positive influence on some people isn't going to change human nature that dramatically.

'K. But, I just said my opinion, and I agree with your last statement.

You don't have to point out it's just your opinion, it's not like I was attacking you or anything. And you had to be expecting some dissenting opinions, right?

I don't know. It just really comes down to the person themselves. I've met three bronies in real life. 2 were pretty friendly and 1 was a completely annoying biggot. I despised him, normally I am really polite and keep my nasty opinions in my own head, but whenever I was around him I would go off, as a person who's terrified of confrontation it's pretty rare that I'll ever get in someone's face.

That being said I have plenty of friends who aren't into ponies who are the sweetest people. Rude indiviuals exist everywhere, even the brony fandom. It's hard to say exactly which is nicer in general.

As for non bronies I've only ever had an issue with one girl, but now we're on good terms after getting over the petty issue.

Heck, my best friend who lives in Washington hated little pony, but he respected my opinion of the show and never gave me any crap for liking it. He would even ask me questions about the show and new episodes for the soul purpose of showing that he was interested in my likes, to which I did the same for the shows he watched that I myself didn't care for. He even drew a couple of ponies on the Christmas card he bought me, and when I moved away he bought me a Pinkie Pie figurine because he knew Pinkie was my favorite.

I don't think it's always that black and white.

You don't have to be a Brony to be a civil and respectable person; in fact, I know a handful of Bronies who are rude barbarians and I know a handful of incredibly nice non-bronies. It all depends on one's character, and the fact that you've encountered more negative non-bronies versus positive non-bronies is a mere coincidence.
