Stone Cold Steve Jobs 22,440 June 1, 2020 Share June 1, 2020 I am bad enough at driving in general. I would like to learn but no guarantee I won’t destroy the clutch in every car I train with. 1 And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so! Clawdeen 12,191 June 20, 2021 Share June 20, 2021 No. My dad was going to ages ago but the only member of the family with a stick shift sold their vehicle before he had a chance to teach me *On Wednesdays We Wear Pink And Betray The Organization*
Fluttershyfan94 5,742 June 26, 2021 Share June 26, 2021 I've got three cars all of which have manual transmissions. So I can drive stick, it feels more grounded to drive stick you're more connected to the driving I feel in a sense. No paddle shifters simply can not replicate it, I say this but I still enjoy driving automatics as well to me there is no real difference in the driving pleasure per say more just my preference. I suppose feeling the shift knob in my hand as I shift into a higher gear while matching my revolutions of the engine with the clutch it is a unique feeling of serenity. Perhaps some might think it is stressful, yet the motions are all so smooth interlocked the engine revving the flywheel and the clutch softly engaging while the gears send it straight to the driveshaft to the axles and boom there you go right. I simply love the feeling of being so engaged with the driving, manual gives you a strong sense of freedom. That said though, have nothing against automatic I enjoy driving them. I have a preference for driving with a manual transmission, the engagement and the enjoyment of driving is more pure in a sense. 1 DA: http://fluttershyfan94.deviantart.com/ Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Fluttershyfan94
Cash In 22,288 July 25, 2022 Share July 25, 2022 Yes, I can drive manual. I'm Australian though, so 90% of the cars here are automatic anyways. Still, it's good to know. 1 At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Gun Metal Zebra 2,225 July 25, 2022 Share July 25, 2022 I never got around to learning how to drive a car with a manual transmission. I looked at vehicle with a manual transmission for my first car (my dad drove it for the test drive, and would have showed me how to drive it if I bought it), but it had a horrible exhaust leak, and I ended up buying the same model of vehicle with an automatic transmission. Every vehicle I have owned since then has had an automatic transmission(the overwhelming majority of vehicles on the US market have automatic transmissions). Both of my vehicles are also Toyotas, so I am not planning on having to replace them anytime soon.
