Yummychickenblue 301 August 11, 2014 Share August 11, 2014 I am in the US I am willing to go to 1,000 but 800 is my goal. I am upgrading to Windows 9. So an SSD is in the equation. Do you have access to a Micro Center? Do you need peripherals? (Keyboard mouse monitor etc) Check out my EQTV channel The Chicken Coop!

PC shops rip people off. http://content.hwigroup.net/images/products/xl/186715-9.jpg Erm, when is that coming out ? There is a rumor for early 2015. But it's not confirmed yet. The processor will be hard, because if a butterfly flaps its wings in India then I broke something lol. As much as I don't want to, there's a micro center in Boston, the Cambridge area. boiteporte 591 August 11, 2014 Share August 11, 2014 I would also recommend the second one. But I'm not happy with the AMD CPU.
Veritum 257 August 11, 2014 Share August 11, 2014 For CPU I would recommend either i5 or something from AMD. Honestly i7 is a small upgrade from i5 but the huge gap in cost is not worth it in my opinion. I have a quad core i5 CPU and it work's perfectly fine for my needs as far as gaming and using stuff like illustrator and photoshop goes. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Their CPUs aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination. For CPU I would recommend either i5 or something from AMD. The difference between the i5 and the i7 is that the i7 has hyperthreading and the i5 doesn't, thats what the huge price gap is. Yummychickenblue 301 August 11, 2014 Share August 11, 2014 Yes, I used several. Which is why I said that. They are better for lower budget machines and since the OP will be primarily gaming the GPU is the most important thing. I use AMD in my own system (which was budgeted horribly) and there, isn't much wrong with it. The 212 EVO is going to keep the processor cool so heat isn't going to be a problem. I know AMD FX is n 8 core. But the Intel quad cores perform better than AMD's 4 additional cores. Not drastic, but I get the point. I can afford a single GTX 770 and the only thing I will need to upgrade is the psu.

Micro center recommended( well told me I need to, upgrade by PSU slightly) I should anyways. Because the PSU is a critical part to learn how to maintain. I need a 750w psu Edited August 12, 2014 by TheMarkz0ne

The PSU I put in the build will be fine. Check out my EQTV channel The Chicken Coop!

I would get a 750 watt PSU if you want to use dual GPUs eventually but you won't be able to do that since the motherboard I picked for you only has 1 PCI-E slot. Aside from gaming. I want experience in working with PCs. So I want an all around powerful machine, not a PC just dedicated to gaming.
