First Take: Pinkie's Brew

Twotlet Sprekle

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking about what people liked to see (obviously biased by what I want to see) and I always had wondered how many takes people do on songs and such. So I'm making  series call 'First Take' in which I sing something (anything) and stick with it. I edit in any sound effects and the song's intrumental and there it is. Tell me what you think of the idea, and my singing!

You seem to be one or two seconds behind the song. Also, the part with Pinkie's Parents is really jarring since it's louder than the rest of your song.

I didn't notice any sync issues, but there might be some. also sorry about the parents being loud i had to do an amplify filter over it all, and the radio effect made the parents louder already, so yeah. wont happen again

2/10.

Eh, I will be honest I hated it, that was so horrible singing, not worst possible, but it is quite bad.

Then again my singing ain't good either, but I Just know it is horrible.

Off sync, your voice breaks several times, and it just goes on.

I think if you work on your singing a lot more you can do way better then this, also you should have done way more "reversals" of singing it before recording it.

Done, sorry, no victory taco for you. But I will give you a plus that you actually did do this and were somewhat brave.

That's mainly why I did this. because my voice is bad. Ever hear of IceJJFish?

Your singing isn't amazing, but hey, nine isn't either. You have potential if you practice more. Overall, points to you for being brave enough to post this. :)

We (plural system) had been singing for more than a decade, but we haven't in recent years (so our info could be out of date!). We think you're good (and we love this song) but we think maybe you could try going an octave lower? Either that, or there are some simple exercises you can do every day to stretch the capacity of your voice, like going up and down the notes of the octave, "hee hee"s and "haw haw"s, and some breathing exercises. We really should get into singing again, maybe try something like this, but we're so self-conscious about our voice...

Anyway, we liked this! Good job, we hope to see you practice more. :) It's obvious you have quite a bit of self-confidence, and that is a big part of voice performance.

We're a plural system - so when we use "we" or "us" in posts; we are not referring to the general populace of MLPforums, but only to the people in our system. See our intro for more info: http://mlpforums.com/topic/108732-plural-system-trotting-in/ (And feel free to ask us anything in a PM!)
