A simple slife of life/romance roleplay between Book Quill and Deja Vu. Only...it is not so simple. Poor Book Quill has to deal with the antics of Deja Vu other personality, Echo.

Deja Vu had just finished reorganizing her art gallery and went to library to unwind with a good book.

Book was in the library, his favorite place to be. He was reading a random book he picked up. He glanced up every now and then to see what time it was and at the ponies around him. He was constantly in the library so it wasn't weird to see him there and either writing, reading, or re-reading a book he wanted to give to them there.

Deja Vu was parusing the library's selection of novels and finallt settled down with one. She read it for about five mibutes growing bored of tge clichè theme.

*Personality changed to Echo*

Echo threw tge book back into its spot on the shelf, ot sliding in perfectly. He bounced to Book and knocked on his head. "Hiya".

Echo threw tge book back into its spot on the shelf, ot sliding in perfectly. He bounced to Book and knocked on his head. "Hiya".

Book was a bit annoyed at this pony coming up to him and greeting him a bit loudly. "Hi. How are you?" Book greeted a bit more quietly. He closed the book and looked at the pony. Book held his hoof out for them to shake. His glasses were resting perfectly on his muzzle.

Echo gave his own hoof which had a joy buzzer attached to it, shocking the poor pony. "I am awsome. But you don't look so good, buddy", hd said a wide grin spreading across his face. He hopped over the water fountain and gulped a couple gallons down without breathing.

"Gah!" Book exclaimed as his hoof got shocked. "Well played. You like pranks too?" Book asked him as he looked from his shocked hoof to the pony. He got up and followed him. "You seem like an interesting pony. I'm Book Quill." He introduced. He looke at the pony and was smiling.

"Happy to eat you, Book Quill. I mean, happy to meet you, Book Quill. I am Echo...Echo...Echo", he said in hysterics. "Interesting don't even begi-", he was cut off.

 

*Personality changed Deja Vu*

 

"Charmed, I assure you. My name is Deja Vu...and it would seem you have already met Echo, judging by your electrified mane. Terribly sorry", she said with a light smile.

Book smiled. "I like the effect." He smiled. When the personality changed, Book was mostly sure he knew what was up. "Multiple personality? I'm terribly sorry if I was wrong about that." Book said to Déjà Vu. He was still smiling at the pony, unsure about gender.

She nodded in silence. "Multiple personality indeed. But Echo...he can be a hoofful", she said with a hum in her voice. "So there is no need for to apolagize as your assumption was correct. I am the much less dangerous half, I promise". She quickly wentw and grabbed the novel she been reading.

"Echo has a nice taste in small pranks. I can see that." Book said. He grabbed his book he was reading and put it back. "What book are you reading there?" Book asked Déjà Vu. He knew a lot of books, some being his own. But not much of it. "Want to hang out?" He asked her and was smiling.

"Well I would have to agree that he does have a certain...affinity for pranks. Hence the reason he runs a joke shop. As for the book, its one of A.K. Yearling's novels...you know, Daring Do. And forgive me but are we not techicallly hanging out right now, chatting with each other in the library", she asked pointedly.

"Daring Do is a great series." Book said and looked at the cover. He blushed a bit when she explained they were technically hanging out now. "I meant later. Want to hang out later?" Book explained better this time. He was curious about her and he read quite a lot of the books there.

"Yes I too thouroughly enjoy the series. As for "hanging out" later, I would love too. You seem like you could be interesting company", she said while glancing her book and him. "Buf that also means you will have to put up with Echo. He may seem interesting but he guickly grows annoying", she aighed.

"Where should we meet?" Book asked her. "I'm fine with him as long as he doesn't break any of me." Book shrugged. Dèjá Vu seemed nice and Echo seemed like a good pony to prank ponies with. He was grinning like an idiot. He was just really happy to hang out with her. And Echo if he tags along.

"I will allow you to decide upon the location", she said politely.

 

*Personality changed to Echo*

"Hanging out with the nerd, hanging out with the nerd, I'm hanging with nerd allright", he sang as he began hopping in circles imitating a ferris whell while defying gravity without using magic.

"I don't know where you like to go though." Book said and managed to make his grin into a small smile.

 

When Echo came back, Book knew what was up. "Echo, want to go prank some ponies?" Book asked a bit hopefully. He liked being around Echo a little. Echo was a bit more harder to keep calmer, Book knew that.

Echo looked at book deadly serious. "Pratical jokes are no jokibg matter, soldier. They are a life or death endeavor. Now do you or do not have the inititive to prank the living delights out of everypony we see", he asked cackling in hysterics before heading to the door. "Lets go"!

"Yeah! I've always had a knack for pranks." Book grinned. He followed Echo out the door. "So, uh... What's first? Something funny obviously but we need to make sure we don't hurt anypony very badly, alright Echo?" Book told him. He was kinda scared that Dèjá Vu would come back and not prank with him.

He looked darkly at Book. "You say you don't want to hurt everypony....define hurt", Echo said bouncing out of the library. He could be seen heading towards Sweet Apple Acres with a massive bucket of pears. Before Book had even caught up, he had picked every apple and replaced thrm with pears, running away with the apples.

Book sighed. "By hurt I mean injuries." He said and followed Echo out if the library. He only saw him replace the last apple with a pear. Book liked the idea of this prank, it wouldn't hurt anypony and he wante to see the reaction of whoever bucked the tree.

After they had hidden and Echo had rigged his secret prank, Applejack cane out to Buck the apples, business as usual. She bucked a tree and out fell a barrels worth of... pears. She another tree to see if the problem was a single tree but quickly learned otherwise.

Book watched the prank take place and grinned from ear to ear. He knew this was a great prank idea. Win win for me. I get Echo for pranks, and Deja Vu for reading, and casual talking. Book thought happily and looked at Echo a bit then back to the prank happening.

Echo quickly grew bored and yelled "CATCH AJ!", before throwing a basket of apples which he stopped with his magic just before they hit her and the ground at which point both both Echo and Applejack broke into laughter. His secret prank was still rigged and he decided to let it sit awhile.

Book started laughing at what Echo did too and enjoyed pranking with him. He held a hoof out for a hoof bump. He was still laughing a bit. He's a fun stallion to be around and I like it. Book thought happily about Echo. He pushed his glasses up a bit and looked at all the pear trees with a chuckle.

Echo quickly accepted the hoof bump and returned the apples to AJ so she could get back to work now that he had successfully pranked her.

"Oh..I see Echo is back at it with his dumb pranks. Wonderful", she said before looking at the trees full of pears with a small chuckle that she tried to hide.
