My LVT approached Ohama Beach. Slowly it got closer and closer. Seconds seemed like hours. He held my M1 Carbine tightly in my hands. I was leader of my squad. Sgt. Roland McKnight was my name. I was to lead my squad onto Normandy's beaches safely. "Alright men. When we hit the beach keep your head down and your eyes clear. Keep the sand out of your weapon and I'll see you on the beach." or in hell. I thought to myself. Some soldiers began to throw up. "30 seconds. God be with you" the driver said to us.

as we approached the front lines I wondered to myself if this was the right call well I didn't have much of a choice it was either get sent back to Russia or join the military I had seen blood shed but nothing ever like this day I still have nightmares about what happened on this bloody day I had tried to catch up on my sleep while we were approaching and was woken up to this "Baranovsky get your ass up!"

I looked over to a troop sleeping. "Baranovsky get your ass up!" "The hell's wrong with you?" I was confused to how a man could sleep now. On a LVT approaching death. I turned back around. I chuckled and thought you Russian dumbass. I stopped chuckling when a shell hit the water near us. I sighed nervously. "Damn that was close" a corpsman next to me said. "15 seconds!" the driver yelled.

Standing in the back just listening the the shell splash in the water, pray to god the don't find their mark, when the driver yells "10 seconds!" I check to make sure my weapons are loaded before we make a break for the beach. I say to myself "Not exactly what I expected this war to be."

"10 seconds" the driver said. The LVT's engine stopped then the ramp dropped. 2 LVTs landed at the same time. The crew on the LVT to the right didn't get out. Everyone in it died. I ran to a metal object on the beach for cover. "Way to go you dumb ass Germans! You just saved my life!" I yelled noting the objects on the beach being used as cover. I moved up to more cover. The MG bunkers were cracking down on us. "Moma...moma...ARRRGGGH!" a soldier whose guts were exposed called out. "Get a corpsman!" I shouted. "Hang in there buddy." I said to him.

(Do not shoot the MG bunkers. You will not hit it. We will take care of them Saving Pvt. Ryan style)

As soon as I see the doors drop I rush to a tank trap to take cover behind whem I hear another soilder call out for the corpsman, "Where the cropsman!" I yell into the dispersing crowd of soilders behind me, only to see some shot as soon as they exit their boats. 'Lota good guys didn't get their chance at fighting.

"I could be better if I weren't the hogs up there shooting back at us." "It gone to hell already down here and I don't know who made it and who didn't make it but this is the punch to the jerrys we need." I think to myself, look around for better cover as bullets graze the tank trap

I spot a corpsman. "Hey Doc! Pver here!" I yelled to him. He came over. "Patch em up Doc" "Alright I'll do what I can until more corpsmen arrive." he said to me. I ran to a destroyed LVT to regroup with my squad. "Bouljarez where's the tanks?" I asked Bouljarez our radio man. "Tanks either sunk or made it to the beach and got destroyed." he replied. "Fuck" I said angrily. "Sgt. McKnight Sgt. McKnight." Cpl. Johnny Longs was calling for me. "What is Cow Bell?" "What's the rallying point sir?" "Anywhere but here. Move on up to the sea wall."Flank behind those bunkers."

(Sorry you guys I was watching MLP on my phone. Cutie Mark Chronicles if you care.)

I ran to the sea wall. "Texan. Baranovsky come up here." I shouted to them. I looked up at the bunker. "Don't shoot at em. I got a plan!" I looked over at the wounded man from earlier. 3 corpsman were working on him. "We stopped the bleeding. We stopped the bleeding." one of the medics said. TING! The wounded soldier took a sniper round to the head and died. The corpsman from before picked the cloth and threw it down. "Just give us a fightin chance. Just give us a figthin chance you son of a fucking Kraut sniper" There was a squad of soldiers yelling his name. "Wayne. Wayne. Wayne get your ass over here" they called to him. "Snowflake. Jameson hurry up get over here."

(You get that refrence? Do you get it?)

"Good to see you Philip" I said. I waited for Baranovsky. "Snowflake. Snowflake where the hell are you. Get over here." I called out to the beach. I got worried. "Bangalores. Bring up those bangalores." a army captain yelled. A group of demolish experts brought up long poles with wicks at the end. They put the bangalores on top of the sea wall and lite the wicks. "Fire in the hole" they yelled. I ducked down and covered my head. The bangalores blew. A German mg crew come out of the bunker and set up a position on top of a hill and resumed firing. "Move up. Get off this damn beach!" I ran to the front of the aboned MG bunker. "3rd squad get over here!" I called to my squad.

(We are 3rd squad)
