"Yeah!" said Riley, taking Anala's side. Being in love with her, he usually agreed with her on most things, but this time, he would have agreed with her anyway. "I remember when Anala and I first met. That bully would have handed my rump to me if Anala hadn't saved me and done it to him first."

There was a grey pegasus with a blue and black mane that laid over his eyes snoring in one of the many seats on the bus. He had been asleep almost the entire trip. His bag was lazily laid on the floor under him, which his hoof laid against. Even with all the commotion as the bus was preparing to unload, he didn't crack a single eye.

Rain bit her lip as she heard her teacher say that.

Buddy.... She thought. Oh sweet celestia....

 

The dark purple dragon pony hopped out of her seat and unloaded. She tried not to fall over as ponies pushed her to the side to get past her. She walked out and looked at all the ponies filing to each other to be buddies. She stood in her spot, hoping somepony would come to her.

Hivemind was desguised a a blue pegasi and was calling Storm Strafe. He didn't want anylony to know he was a changeling. He went to the dragon pony and asked to partner up. He had a bag draped around his neck and he was flapping his wings randomly in agitation.

"Is that snoring I hear?" said Riley to nopony in particular. He went back onto the bus to see Stormwing snoring, sprawled across the seats.

 

Riley leaned right in to the pegasus colt's ear. "WAKE UP!!!"

Destiny walked out of the bus, without a partner.

 

She hoped the teachers wouldn't notice. If they did, she'd make up up an excuse. If they saw past it, then she was going to run deep into the woods and camp there. Hopefully not getting lost or eaten by a bear in the process.

 The pegasus' eyes snapped open and he shouted loudly. "Waugh!" he exclaimed, rolling off his seat with a flutter of his wings and the discarding of a few grey feathers. He looked upwards at his awakener, frowning. "You shouldn't scare ponies like that..." He pouted.

Riley had to control the giggles that resulted from the whole thing. "You were just so adorable when you were sleeping, you know that, Stormy?" he told Stormwing.

 

He skipped off the bus with his usual peppy demeanour. "Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work I go!" he sang as he went.

Rain heard a scream from the bus, making her cringe slightly. Then she heard a teacher ask who somepony's partner was.

Uh, oh.... The mare thought. She knew that the teacher would ask her eventually. She sighed slowly as she looked around for anypony to be partners with.

Why do I even try? She thought.

"Oh no, i'm late!" Soprano said to himself, galloping towards the camp site. "Oh, I hope the other teachers have this under control without me!" Soprano was worried he might lose his job due to being late to the campsite. Eventually, he found the group. "Am *huff* I *huff* too late?"

"well stormwing if you wount answer me I will have to pair you up with..." chain looks around to try and see which pony he could pair him with "uuuhhh....you will be paired with...Rain right?" *chain points to Rain* "Rain you will be with Stormwing right here ok" chain saw Rain gulp "oh hey Soprano come and help me get every one a buddy"

"Sorry i'm late, I got held up. What are the kids doing?" Soprano asked, hoping none of the kids would notice he was very late, and call him tardy. "Do you want me to get the worksheets or something? I brought them!" Soprano didn't get the concept of a camping trip, as he saw it as a way to teach somewhere else.

Destiny looked in one window of the bus and saw they were pairing ponies up. They're not going to believe my excuse, she thought to herself.

 

Slowly, she started walking away from the bus, hoping nopony notices her trying to get out of having a partner.

"thats for later get everypony into groups of tow ok" he said to the pony how rushed his way to the bus "oh right everypony line up outside the bus!" all the ponys where forced to go out side "this will make it easyer to give the fillys there buddys" chain said smiling

Soprano looked around for a student without a partner. "Destiny, do you have a partner?" Soprano asked, checking that he had all of his Japanese books in his bag. "There are a couple of kids without partners, why don't you join them?" Soprano said, trying to be benevolent.

"Umm." She looks towards the forest, wanting to run.

 

"Err, I don't have a partner, but I don't want one," she said bluntly. She really didn't want to tell him why, and running into the forest sounded really nice. But, she didn't want to go on a wild goose chase today.

"I have an idea! Dark star be paired up with Destiny,Destiny you will be with this pony right here ok" chain said seeing Destiny faking a smile "or do you want to be with me insted?" he said thinking she was shy and not wanting to be with that filly "so what is it me or him?"

"I'm sorry, but you'll need one. It's school policy. I think that the partner system is bogus as well, but I'm required to make you get one. Sorry." Soprano said, trying to be nice. He wasn't very good with kids, and he had only been working at the school for 2 days as the Japanese teacher before coming on the camping trip.

Destiny wanted to crawl into a dark hole or run into the forest.

 

She was already fidgety with two teachers around, and she'd end up getting into a fight if she had a partner.

 

She desperately wished Skyla was here, she'd be her partner, but she wasn't there.

 

She didn't answer the teachers, just looked down at the ground.

"Why don't you go with the other teacher? You can just walk next to her, simple!" Soprano said, not knowing how to handle the situation. "Come on, it's won't be for very long! It's just to the campsite." Soprano said, panicking in his head. 'When will this kid just listen to us?' Soprano thought.

"Are you psychic or something?" she said. She didn't expect that and it caught her by surprise.

 

She immediately thought he was kinda creepy but then again, she was kinda creepy herself. She remembered the notebook in her saddlebag.

"I'll go on ahead, and help the others with the tents." Soprano said. While he was walking, he was humming 'Anthropology'. It was stuck in his head! He knew humans weren't real, but it was still a catchy song.
