Looking for Singers - Acapella Group

Hey! I'm looking for up to 5 singers for a little acapella (or general singing group) called, for lack of a better name at this time, the Brony Tones. I'd need at least 1 male singer and 2 female, because I want a nice rounded group. This would also mean I'd need a, seeing as I'm a bass singer, a tenor, an alto, and a soprano. Obviously, feel free to apply still if there's already a spot filled up, because I'd probably want more than one alto, maybe another tenor.

As you can hear, the whole song is fairly low because I can't sing an incredible amount higher than middle C without cracking. So that's why I'd like some others. For ever cover or (hopefully) original song we did, I'd send you an instrumental melody of what you'd have to sing and at what time then I'd try and put it all together. If you can write music, that would also be incredible for making original songs. Instrumentals would be kept down to a minimum, though, in the style of acapella.

 

If there's anything else you'd like to know I can fill you in on plans but for now it's just an idea. I'd need to get together some people before anything actually gets underway.

 

EDIT: I'd like to mention that I'd rather the singers were able to be around at the same time as me, and I'm GMT (but it's obviously not

required).

 

The places I'd like to find people for at the moment are:

-Alto

-Soprano

-(Possibly) Mezzo Soprano, somewhere between Alto and Soprano.

 

I'd mostly like female singers from here on out, but if you're a guy that can sing Alto, that's absolutely fine as well.

I can sing very well, when my body is cooperating with me anyway, but I don't have good recording devices and its closing in on the flu season (the time where my nose is stuffy all the time and I cant sing).

 

But if your looking for a cover artist (someone who designs and draws the covers for music to be put as the thumbnail or the main picture of a youtube video) then I would be happy to fill that position!

If not well, good luck finding singers!

I don't mind whether you want to sing or not, but haping a cover artist could be really cool!

As soon as I flu season leaves I will probably be alright to sing, but by then youll probably have a full 'singing cast' anyway.

Hi there. I’d like to do some singing myself... a lot. Placed some of me doing that on youtube recently after getting some encouragement.

Now, I may not be the best singer around and I don’t have extensive knowledge about music, like how to be a bass, a tenor, an alto, or a soprano singer. Never had a singing lesson since my pre-school days. I just go with the flow. If you want, I can help you out.

I don't have any singing recorded as of yet (I don't have any training in singing, but I do it to pass the time while I work, and when I'm caught, customers say I sing well.) I can help a bit on the writing, and check with @Cherrijack if she's ever on. She's a singer/songwriter. And she might be up to help if she gets the time.

That would be great! If you can ever get a clip of you singing to me, I'd love to know if I can fit you in. Also, it's great that you can help with lyrics for songs.

I'd be happy to contribute. My range doesn't extend much farther up than yours I reckon, but I could take a low bass or baritone part with ease. I'm put on the lowest voice part in my college choir regularly - I'm one of the only ones able to sing the lowest notes on the staff well.

 

I'll need to reinstall my recording programs to get you my voice though. Also I think I'm coming down with a cough.

Great! I'd be fine giving up my place as Bass to Tenor or Baritone, as I have a fairly large range. I guess it would depend on the songs, really.

 

Just so that everyone knows, the first 3 songs I wanted to work on were Find the Music (a full, played out version), Let the Rainbow Remind You, and You'll Play Your Part (which is the reason for wanting 3 female singers, not only would having 3 higher singers help in future endeavours, but in You'll Play Your Part, each one can sing as a different princess). As always, message if interested. I'm mostly looking for female singers now, seeing as we have the lower range of the group covered for now.
