Are they really, because if that's true, that's a little strange!

Thanks for the replys guys( especially KokuraiNoSenshi ) . You all told me that people can love things even though they are not physical beings. And that the word "married" can just mean that these people have strong affections to that thing. :)   And sorry I can't reply fast enough, internet is terrible here.

I find it odd that some people would look at people with waifu's and find them "strange". Falling in love with a fictional character is just as legitimate as falling in love with a person. Flesh and blood or ink drawing, you're(hopefully) falling for somebody based on who they are, and how they make you feel. Why would you ever shame somebody for that?

No it's not true. If it were, then I would also be married to Ghostie since we are both married to Rarity.

There was no official wedding or anything, and we didn't get a marriage certificate, so people aren't actually married to ponies. It just means we really like that pony a lot and have a crush on them.

Not really, calling a character your waifu/husbando is pretty much another form of showing your affection to that said character. There's nothing really wrong with being smitten over a character, really. Not all people who loves a character, myself included, is out of touch with reality. I know that I have been smitten with fictional characters before and not once did I decided to let that take over my life, cause that would a little too much for me. xP

Well, the whole waifu thing isn't for me, but I can understand why some are fully into it.

I mean, back in the day, I had a huge crush on Krystal from Star Fox. I can't explain it, but I did.

Now-a-days I really done as I prefer to have a mutual relationship with a fellow human, BUT as I said, I can understand the feelings of some people here.

Edit:

And on the point that it happens with other fandoms, there are plenty of people who also fell for Krystal, as well as Cynder from the Legend of Spyro series.

Alright, I understand what a waifu is now, I don't think I am in a waifu with pinky( even if my profile name is PinkyLover) but, time will tell. Thanks for the answers, brony on! :lol:B)

I noticed that in some bronys profile's say that they are married to a certain pony! Now the first thing that came to my mind was that they just really like that certain pony. But I would like it if I acually heard it from an acuall brony!

Most of them probably joke about it honestly. that's the whole "waifu" joke. I personally dont understand it much myself.

But I've heard of one story where someone actually claimed to be Married to Twilight sparkle. so it isnt to deny that there may not be a few whackos out there who actually believe they are.

Myself on the other hand, really dont think marrying ponies is a valid option. nor would I really wish to joke about it as well.

However, if I ever marry a pegasister/female brony, I can say that our OC's are married to each other as well. :)
