She drifted to sleep and slowly rolled into her back before winding up on her hurt wing which jolted her awake. "Dammit if I sleep, I toss and turn. If I toss and turn, I end up hurting my wing more. Noting his position she rollled him over and nudged herself tightly against him to keep herself from rolling over.

*When she rolled him over, he was barely awoken by a body pressed up against him. He opened his eyes, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness and saw Storm pressed up against him. Being tired as he was, he didn't have the energy or the want to start questioning what or why, he simply took his wing that had been cramped and put it over her and laid there, awaiting exhaustion take him to sleep.*

Storm sighed contently when his covered her as she lay in the dark with her head against his chest, her ear against his heart letting her feel his rhythmic heartbeat luring her to sleep.

 

When she woke up the next morning, she was still pressed against him and wiggled out of the bed trying not to wake him as she went to the living room to rewrap her bandages and skip taking her gross pills.

*Blue awoke with the sound do Storm getting up and walking out and yawned.* "I'm gonna have to work so much today." *He mumbled to himself, forcing himself out of his bed and into the living room, where he saw her rewrapping her bandages.* "Morning Storm." *He said half asleep, rubbing his eyes with a wing.*

Storm looked at him and rubbed her own eyes. "Hey...do you think your boss would mind if I helped you with your extra work....if that's a possibility, that is....its just...its my fault you missed so much work...and with my wing busted...I can't fly..or play my guitar...so I was just wondering".

"Um." *He said tapping his chin.* "Eh, I don't think he would mind honestly. The faster the work gets done, the better it is to him. Plus I'd already guessed you wouldn't want to stay stuck here in the house, so I guess you could go to work with me." *He headed to the kitchen for breakfast, then stopped and looked at her with a smile.* "Just don't distract me." *He said playfully and a small laugh, then went and made breakfast.*

She nodded and swallowed the pills she had been planning to skip before looking down atbthe floor when he told her not to distract him, thinking shed somehow done something else wrong already. "Sorry. I will just pretend that you don't exist while helping you make up your work", she said looking hurt.

*He poked his head out to the living room, seeing her look a bit down.* "Oh, I was joking around, don't pretend I don't exist, it will be nice to finally have someone to talk to while working instead of humming to myself." *He walked up to her and gave her a small kiss.* "Sorry if I made you feel not wanted." *He said, trying to cheer her up.*

(Like I said, without the windigo, she's going to be a whole different pony for a while..almost like if Rainbow Dash became Fluttershy).

 

She hugged him a little and nodded. "Sorry..I was being stupid. I should have known better...I just haven't been myself lately", she said trying to summon a thunderbolt without even a flash of light to show for it. "Damn it...that windigo defined who I am...now what use am I", she asked herself quietly.

(Wow, that's one hell of a change. RD acting like Fluttershy and vice versa... That'd make a nice S5 episode actually.)

 

*He wrapped his wing around her carefully.* "Its alright. And don't think you're of any use to anyone anymore just because you don't have your speed or weather abilities any more." *He said, carefully choosing his words.* "You're still a wonderful pony, don't forget that." *He said, poking her chest softly.*

"But....my talent...my fucking cutie mark...it represents creating and controlling storms...and I can't do that anymore....my cutie mark is a lie now", she said tearing up as the realization hit her hard. "Its...worse than not having a cutie mark to have your cutie mark respresent something you can't even do...a bull shit cutie mark", she said shaking.

*His eyes went wide for a second and he leaned back and looked at her cutie mark and leaned forward again and bit his lower lip.* "Shit, she's right. What do I do?" *He thought, mentally freaking out, having no idea how to comfort her. All he could do was tighten his wing around her a little and nuzzle her while he thought of a way to try and help, feeling guilty as he remembered he had a hoof in this.*

The wing around her didn't help any and his nuzling went unnoticed in her deteriorating mental state as she broke down completely. "Blue, just go ahead yo work....I'm gonna take a walk and....try to get over there to help you out", she said prying herself our of his. grip with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I- Alright. You don't have to come and help me if you really don't want to right now, I can take care of it." *He said getting up and grabbing his hoodie, and sighed.* "Please, try and feel better, not for me, for your own well being." *He opened the door and before he walked out, he turned around and sighed.* "I'm sorry that I caused this Storm, I wish there was any way to make this up to you." *He walked out and closed the door, and realized that he may have an extremely pissed off mare coming after him later. He wished he could have stayed but he felt that she needed some time alone and he had no clue how to comfort or help her.*

Blue left Ans Storm was left alone in the dark after she had turned off all of the lights. She crumpled right were she was and fell into a rapid depression. "My talent...my cutie mark...my future...my....destiny...everything I am....or..was....gone in three days....this is why I don't get serious with anypony....because I got serious with Blue..I lost everything", she said to the empty house as a single tiny lightning bolt traced the yellow streak of her mane.

*As He entered the backroom of his work place, he saw the towering stacks of countless merchandise and boxes, and had a clipboard shoved into his chest by his manager with a friendly smile as he walked off.* "Yeah yeah, I know." *He said with a chuckle, as he got to work. As he worked, his thoughts drifted in and out to Storm Strafe and couldn't help but think about how she was doing.*

She felt the bolt and jumped. She couldn't understand how it had appeared. Her storms had gone with the windigo...she was sure of it. She washed put of the house towards the Everfree and hopefully and explanation though she didn't expect to get one. The back of her mind was clouded with thoughts of Blue.

*His lunch hour came around and he went back to his house to grab some food instead of spending money at the market or a restaurant. When he entered his house, he saw the lights were off and Storm wasn't there.* "Hmm, maybe she's still walking around, trying to clear her head." *He said. He grabbed some food and headed back to work.*

She ran into the castle and through the door to Dusk Shade's chambers. "Dusk Shade....you took the windigo away....but a lightning bolt just came from my mane.....how is that possible ", she asked, which pulled a good natured laugh from him. "Storm Strafe, have you honestly forgotten the fact thar you earned your cutie mark before I placed the Windigo inside of you"?

*Blue had heaved a box on to the store shelve sand stopped to take a breather.* "Note to self: don't take days off work unless absolutely necessary." *He got back to work shelving and organizing pretty much the entire store. He checked the clock.* "Two-thirty..." *He mumbled.*

She had completely forgotten that she had attacked Rainbow Dash without the Windigo and that was why it was placed in the first place..an anger buffer. "I told you before, you are a special Pegasus..as you recover, your natural abilities will return. I promise", he said and sent her on her way. She ran to the store with small bolts on her hooves and almost tackled Blue. "Hey! Sorry I took so long. Please tell me I can still help out", she said.

"Gah!" *He nearly yelled as she ran in and startled him, almost dropping a box. He turned and faced her, and seeing her not moping anymore made him smile.* "Hi to you too." *He said with a chuckle.* "Well you seem better, glad to see your doing better. And yeah, you can still help, I've got about two hours and fifteen minutes left on my shift, you can help me shelve and organize the store's merchandise, if you want to that is."

"Why would I not be better...everything is perfect. Absolutely perfect", she said and a bolt ran down her mane, down her back to her tail. She flapped his uninjured wing and lifting some things to the higher shelves and smiled goofily. "Of course I want to. I said so earlier".

"Wait." *He saw the bolt of lightning go through her mane.* "Did... Huh... you... What!?" *He said putting his hooves to his temples.* "Did you somehow get your weather abilities back, or did I accidentally take some of your medicine and I'm on a hallucination trip?" *He said with confusion.*

"I....actually never lost them....I apparently didn't get them from the Windigo.....I completely forgot that I fried Dashie without the Windigo....the Old Man put the storm spirit in my head after that...so yeah, as I recover my speed and abilities should return, at least that's what he said".
