Marshmallow 1,137 March 29, 2012 Share March 29, 2012 Once in a while, I decide to browse the forums on my iPhone. The mobile version of the site is alright. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done on mobile. There is however one thing that irks me about it. It's that there is no way (that I know of) to see the comments that people made on status updates! When I get a notification saying that someone commented on my status update, I find it pretty annoying to have to switch to the full version of the forums just to see that comment. (Especially since switching to the full version doesn't even seem to work anymore... but that's another issue and I believe it has already been adressed in another thread) Anyway, I was just wondering if the option to see comments on status updates on the mobile version was something that could possibly be implemented. Also, please forgive me if there is already a way to see the comments. I have looked a lot and found nothing. If such is the case, then maybe it would be a good idea to make it a little easier to find? 2 "There was me, that is Pinkie, and my three droogs, that is Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy, and we sat in the Ponyville Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening." Marcato 2,143 March 30, 2012 Share March 30, 2012 (edited) It is nearly impossible for feld0 to make status updating and commenting available to the mobile version. It is something set up for IP board and is embedded into the system. If you would like to see this feature you will have to talk to the staff of IP board via e-mail or other means of contact. http://www.invisionp...products/board/ Here is a link to their website. In the support tab, you will find all kinds of details and possibly their contact information. EDIT: Can't believe i skipped over it, but here is their form of contact. http://www.invisionpower.com/company/contact.php Edited March 30, 2012 by Silver Arrow ~Relax and enJOY life. Jokuc 8,173 March 30, 2012 Share March 30, 2012 As Silver Arrow says I don't think it's possible. I think I've heard this in another thread.. (Especially since switching to the full version doesn't even seem to work anymore... but that's another issue and I believe it has already been adressed in another thread) This is pissing me off making me a bit annoyed.

Radiance64 7,053 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 On your profile page, you should be able to see comments on your status if you either click the link below the status to view it directly, or see them if you click on 'Profile Feed'. Viewing all updates should work too, at least on my crappy phone this all does.

Marcato 2,143 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 Most likely an automated message. Normally they have autoresponders to let you know that they got the message and then read it later in person. It would be awfuly unprofessional if they answered everything with an autoresponder. ~Relax and enJOY life. No, that was the actual message.I received an automated message soon after sending my message saying that they would answer as soon as possible. Then I received the message that only said "Thank you for your feedback." Marcato 2,143 April 2, 2012 Share April 2, 2012 No, that was the actual message. I received an automated message soon after sending my message saying that they would answer as soon as possible. Then I received the message that only said "Thank you for your feedback." That's awfully upsetting that they didn't provide any real details on what they thought about it. Anyways, perhaps they will take it to heart and make changes and updates. We can only hope and wish from here. Otherwise there's absolutely nothing you can do. ~Relax and enJOY life. Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,526 April 3, 2012 Founder Share April 3, 2012 I sent them an email. They replied something along the lines of "thanks for your feedback k bye lol" I honestly doubt they even read what I wrote. Oh well... I've worked with IPS long enough to know how they treat feedback. Honestly, these guys care more about feedback than any other software company I've ever dealt with. The thing is, they receive a voluminous amount of feedback all the time, so they rarely make any specific comments on any feedback they receive. They do this because if the developers actually took the time to properly respond to every suggestion they get, they would spend all their time answering questions and would never actually develop the software further. The contact form, however, is not their usual feedback channel. If you want to make a suggestion for their software, register at their community and post it in their feedback forum. It is guaranteed that an IPS developer will see your suggestion and take note of it there. Trust me - they really do read every single topic there. They recently implemented a few features in IP.Board 3.3.0 that they never provided a direct comment on. 3 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
