She heard the pleasant sound of Octavia's symphonic music played and turned to see playing, before heading to their table to sit down across from Blue, still surprised he chose to go to such an expensive restaurant. "So, Um... I'm just gonna say it, why would you want to go to such an expensive place"?

"Uh, honestly. I have no idea. It was just the first thing that popped into my head when I thought 'A good dinner to show some appreciation.'*He said, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish smile.* "But don't worry about the cost, I can handle the price."" *He added, then switching to mental thinking.* "Even though it's draining nearly every spare bits I have, it's totally worth it." *He thought, looking across the table at Silver.*

"Okay then... I just don't want you waste all of your bits on somepony you just met a couple of days ago, even if we ate friends", she said a little upset that he was spending so many bits in her. The waiter finally arrived and she ordered her food, trying to keep it as inexpensive as possible.

"No, it's alright, really. I need somepony to waste my bits on." *He said with a chuckle. When the waiter came to take their orders, he ordered his food and also ordered a bottle of Vintage wine, because of where they were at, it seemed like something that should be done.*

(If takes her awhile to really up to anypony to the point that she doesn't even seen depressed, not that she is depressed, her demeanor just isn't very fun)

 

Silver nodded and slightly raised her eyebrows at his order of the vintage wine. "And here u thought you already thrown enough bits down the tube, I guess not", she noted.

*He shrugged and gave a smile that said 'Eh, it couldn't hurt.'* "Eh, it's alright. If I'm at a fancy restaurant, might as well get some good wine to go with it." *He said.* "I know my budget, I can handle this. Though it will take some time to save up those bits again, but this is totally worth it."

"Why are so okay with wasting all of your bits on one night, not even, just a meal", she asked completely lost as to why he would spend all of his spare money on this dinner with her. The waiter arrived a while later with their food and the wine he had ordered.

*He thanked the waiter and turned his head back to Silver.* "Well Silver." *He said ,pouring himself some wine took a drink of it.* "Because I have everything that I already need and could possibly want. I've got extra bits stored away for my bills that will hold me over for a good enough time to start my savings again. And why not go out to a dinner with a fine mare such as yourself and go all out?" *He explained and took another drink.* "You know what they say, you only live once." *He smiled.*

She felt her cheeks start to burn he said she was a 'fine mare'. ''Oh, I guess if have all you want or need, that spending some extra bits isn't such an odd idea after all", she said while contemplating the age of the wine, judging by the wrappings condition. She poured herself a bit after calculating it between between forty and sixty years old.

"Extra bits is a bit of an understatement, no pun intended." *He said with a small laugh at his own accidental pun. He saw her cheeks start to turn the slightest bit red and he thought to himself.* "Wait, did I? Yup. This is a date." *He thought, mentally deadening to himself., but a little excited on the final decision.*

She smiled a bit at his lame pin, not knowing it was an accident. She took a sip of the wine and started on her food, doing whatever she could to avoid looking directly at him, knowing it would just make it more awkward for her, since she was starting to think that this was a date, which was freaking her out.

*He started on his own food, sitting in silence and started thinking to himself.* "So if this is a date, does that mean you're crushing on her?" *He asked himself.* "Well, I... I don't know, she is cute, very friendly and nice. But as a marefriend? Maybe, chances are likely." *He answered. He took a sip of his wine, then remembered something important.* "Oh, Silver uh. Make sure I don't drink too much wine please, I can get drunk very easily and me drunk isn't very fun." *He informed her.*

"No problem.... I was hoping you wouldn't drink too much and get yourself drunk anyway, I'm not a fan of alcohol after she got herself hooked on it, I barely even touch the stuff mysekf", she said still looking at her plate, trying to avoid eye contact. "So yeah, I'll try to keep from drinking too much wine, don't worry".

"Yeah, I don't like alcohol myself very much either, but wine is one exception. It's like a spiced up grape juice if you will." *He said with a chuckle and sipped his wine, then going back to his food and his thoughts.* "Why isn't she lifting her head? Did I do something? Am I making a bad impression?" *He thought.*

Silver looked at him with her mane covering one eye, (Like how Fluttershy's mane was in the Cutie mark chronicles backflash of her earning her mark). "So, a sliced up grape juice, never thought to call it that.... Makes sense though, after all that I'd all it really is".

*He looked up at her to respond then stopped and felt his cheeks turn pink at the sight of her mane covering half her muzzle.* "Wow, she looks cute like that." *He thought to himself, then pulling himself out of his head and back to the table.* "Yeah, like how hard cider is spiced up cider, but except way more powerful then wine."

"Interesting... I'm still gonna stock with my idea of wine being the only alcohol I'm willing to drink, I don't wanna get hooked on alcohol anytime soon, no thank ypu", she said quietly before brushing her mane out if her face and fixing her bows to their proper position

"Oh no, I don't drink Hard cider. I drank a few too many by accident and got drunk and it wasn't fun." *He said, eating some more of his food.* "I'd rather not get hooked to alcohol either. My mother was, and she didn't turn out so good because of it." *He said, letting the memories flow in and push them away.*

"Right... Um, sorry I brought it up..... I didn't mean to make you delve into your past.....", she said solemnly, thinking she had gone too far. She returned her attention to her plate and started poking at her food. She figured making him go back to his alcoholic mother in his memories would put an air of ice on the dinner and knew it was her fault.

*He shook his head and smiled and waved a hoof.* "No, it's alright. I'm used to having to deal with stuff like that, no big deal." *He said, taking a sip of his wine, and going back to his thoughts.* "Oh no, I hope I didn't make her think that I'm upset at her for making me bring up my mother."

Silver was looking down when she heard him saying that bringing up his mother hadn't actually bothered him, which brought her head back up, relieved that it had caused a serious problem. "Okay then... I'm still sorry about it buy I'm glad I didn't upset you".

"Whew, that was a close one." *He thought to himself, mentally wiping the sweat off his forehead, before putting his attention back in the real world.* "Its alright Silver, there's no need to apologize." *He said before going back to his head.* "Even when she constantly apologizes, it's kind of cute."

"Okay.. I'm just glad that your fine and what I said didn't trigger some dark memories of your past or something. Great... Now I sound really wierd and cryptic. Sorry", she said before realizing just how much she had been apologizing and how annoying he probably thought it was.

"No you don't, you just sound like an honest mare trying to explain her ways." *He said with a giggle e, taking another sip of his wine finishing it off. He poured himself another glass of wine, and then looked over at her glass and slightly shook the bottle.* "Want some more wine?" *He asked her.*

Silver breathed a small sigh of relief that hadn't seemed weird to him, considering he was at this point, her only friend in Ponyville and one of her only friends in general. She sighed a sigh of defeated contentment when he shook the bottle. She finished is her her glass and held it out. "Sure".
