"Yeah, I guess. I know in high school, no one really paid attention to that, assuming you were all good. But elementary school is a totally different thing." *He replied, looking over at her, the rain starting to dampen their manes. He saw her mane start to become more damp and he blushed.* "Her mane, it's... why can't I stop thinking about how cute she looks?" *He thought to himself.*

"Yeah, I'm trying to figure out if Elementary school is any harder on the teachers than high school, sure you have to deal with skipping and smart-a-licks on high school but with Elementary school, you're trying to drill basic fundamentals into their heads", she said as another drop flicked her ear as her dampened.

*He felt his heart skip a beat when her ear flicked again against her damp mane, seeing her as something too adorable for symphony to handle. He gave into the temptation to scoot closer to her just a little, inch by inch.* "Well, then go for the middle. Middle school." *He said, acting like he wasn't doing anything.*

"That's what I've been considering doing but I've been teaching Elementary school since I got started teaching... So it's just I'm used to Elementary but I have to adjust to a new school anyway.. Since I just moved to town... Yeah I'm gonna see about transferring to the middle school tomorrow but today, I'm just gonna enjoy the rain", she said not realizing he was scooching closer to her.

*Once He felt he was in a better position on the bench, close enough to Silver, he stopped and stayed quiet, enjoying the pitter patter of the rain hitting the ground around them. He looked over at Silver, only to start blushing again.* "Damn, I can't even look at her without feeling my face heat up." *He thought to himself.*

As the raindrops increased in number and dropping frequency more drops hot her ears only bringing more instinctive flicks as her mane became soaked as the rain became a steady downpour. She was a little uneasy when he stopped talking thinking she had said something wrong but couldn't figure out what.

*He scooted a little closer to her and looked up at her, seeing her now completely drenched mane and flickering ears made his heart beat faster.* "Dear Celestia, she's beautiful." *He thought to himself, this time not even looking away, just staring in awe at her beauty.*

Silver had had quite enough of the rain hitting her ears and pulled out her grey and silver umbrella holding over them, since he was close enough for her to. "Wait... Wasn't he..... A bit farther away.... When he sat down...... Um, okay.... So he's getting closer.....", she thought to herself.

*When she pulled out the umbrella, he smiled at the gesture and leaned back, and scooted a tiny bit closer to Silver, feeling the blush rise to his face.* "Oh, I seriously hope I'm not weeding her out or anything, that'd make me absolutely hate myself right now." *He said, remembering he was still holding her hoof.*

Silver didn't mind that he was holding her hoof, considering the fact that she offered it to him. Nor did she even mind that he was inching closer to her, if he was more comfortable when he was closer, so be it. It meant she could pull out her umbrella and not leave him in the rain, at least.

*He continued his scooting, nearing her closer and closer, and eventually they became so close they were pressed up against her side, with only their hooves really separating them. He flinched on the inside and panicked.* "Uh oh, we're pressed up against each other what do... I... do.." *He said, losing Jo's train of thought when he looked at her.*

"Um... Um.... Are you sure we should be this close together like this.... I'm just a little uncertain about this" He said quietly and sheepishly as her cheeks burned bright red and she gulped nervously. "I'm... I'm not saying that I'm completely against it, but I'm just a bit unsure about it".

"I... I don't know Silver." *He said honestly.* "Half of me is saying to not care and go for it, the other half of me wants to be uncertain about it. I'm just as confused as you are, but I'm just going with instincts." *He said, being truthful about him going on instincts. He didn't know how to handle this situation, but didn't care right now.*

Silver looked down at the ground more than a little nervous about the whole situation but really had developed a crush on him. She gave him another quick kiss on the cheek and scooched over a little away afterwards. "Um... I'm sorry I did that... I just", she trailed off.

*He felt himself blush at the sudden gesture and smiled.* "No Silver it's alright. It's just. Um." *He said, starting to get quieter, wondering what to do now.* "Ah screw it." *He thought to himself and pressed his lips up against hers in a kiss. The thoughts in his head racing by, not being able to pay attention to a single one.*

Silver's eyes went as wide as dinner plates and she dropped her umbrella down into a puddle below them when he kissed her on the lips. She was utterly shocked but kissed him back, her thoughts fried by the kiss. She pulled away, once again being drenched and having her ears assaulted by the rain.

*He felt the rain starting to drench him, but he didn't care, he didn't stop kissing her until she pulled away. When she did, he backed away slowly, a what seemed to be permanent blush on his face.* "I'm... I'm sorry Silver, I shouldn't have pushed you into that." *He apologized, feeling about forcing her into the kiss.*

She was shaking a little after pulling out of the kiss. "Uhm my... Um... Its.. Its fine, really, I was just surprised..... I swear, it's fine.... I actually kind of liked it to be honest", she said scooting back over next to him. "The only problem is now I'm completely soaked", she said shivering slightly with her ears flicking like crazy as the rain pounced them.

*He stretched out a wing, that hadn't been drenched in rain and put it over her to cover her from the rain, stopping her from getting wet and stopped her ears from flickering about to his dismay.* "There, that should cover you. So. You really didn't mind? You liked it?" *He asked.*

Silver kissed his neck lightly. '' Um.... Yeah, I guess I kind of did..... I'm sorry... I have absolutely know idea what I'm doing it how this supposed to happen.... I have never actually done anything like this with anypony.... Do was last night a date or am I blowing this out of proportion "?

*He felt a tingling sensation in his back when she kissed his neck and smiled.* "It's alright. If you need any guidance or anything, I'll help you with it. And as for last night. Um. I guess it was a date, but an accidental one of you will. I didn't really think it all the way through."

"Um... Could we maybe get out of the rain.... My mane is soaked and I'm sort of cold.... Maybe I should head home", she said picking up and wringing out her umbrella before dropping it into her saddlebags. She stood up and stretch out a little and looked around the park, trying to find the exit. "Maybe I'll see you around".

"Oh. Um. Alright then. See you later I guess." *He said sadly, taking it as she wanted to be alone right now. He got up and slowly trotted off his home, head hung, not even bothering to put up his hood to block the rain from hitting his head. When he got home, he threw his jacket aside and lament and laid in bed, just thinking over what had transpired at the park.*

Silver watched him leave and instantly hated herself for doing that. "make trudged back to her house her muzzle nearly scraping across the ground as she walked too depressed to pick up her head. She entered her house and curled up by the door not even wanting to go to her bed." I wanted him to come with me...... ".
