"All aboard!" came the shrill voice of the conductor as the train doors opened for new passengers to board.

 

"Well, there it is!" said Pinkie as if it wasn't obvious, and trotted onto the train. She turned around to look at Storm. "You coming?"

'One minutes he's outside, the next, he's one the train... how many ponies can do that?! Yeah, I can do it, but still... I think I might just take a liking to him.'

 

"Hey, I just realised another use for your inflation technique!" she declared as the train began to move. She took out the clipboard. "You could be kinda like a busker, in that you could have ponies toss a coin into your top hat for you to transform into what they like!"

Storm laughed. "That'd be pretty funny! Maybe if we get a box, I could be like a Storm-in-a-box! Or maybe a Shine-in-the-box? Hmm..." He pondered on this. "Oh, oh! A portaStorm!" Storm exclaimed. "Maybe get a music box crank, and everypony expects a toy... And then a real pony jumps out!"

He shuddered. "I-I don't know about that Pinkie... I mean, doesn't she use, um.." Storm gulped. "N-n-needles on her dresses...?" He asked, shivering a bit. "I mean, t-there's r-rreally no need to get something like a pokey s-sharp n-n-needle..... R-right?" Storm questioned nervously, his eyes flitting around the train.

"'Fraid she does," said Pinkie. She then laughed. "But I was only joking, Storm Shine!" she told him. Then again, given the happy tone she used much of the time, it could be a little hard to tell whether she was kidding around or being serious. "Still, if you don't want a bunch of needles in you, perhaps you'd rather be a pair of underwear?"

 Storm's face decided to rather suddenly try and match the intensity of Celestia's sun as he eeped. "U-u-u-u-underwear!" He exclaimed quietly, not wanting to yell something like that out to the whole train. "I-buh-gwuh-e-uh-I-I-uh..." Storm trailed off on his line of gibberish, not sure what to say and not wanting to make a fool of himself. Well, a bigger fool of himself.

'Well, at least I've got him all flustered now! He's simply sooooo adorable when he's like this!' thought Pinkie Pie. 'You could fry pancakes on those cheeks of his! Although they probably wouldn't turn out all that well, since pancakes are supposed to be flat.'

Storm finally regained enough composure to speak, though his muzzle was still sporting a blazing red blush which was painfully obvious against his blue coat. "I-I think it'd be for the best, if I'm not turned into any clothing Pinkie... It'd likely be less awkward for everypony, if that simply didn't happen..." He managed to say, before he could end up stuttering again. "Though it's an interesting thou- NO, Bad Storm, Bad! Don't think like that!" Storm thought, before attempting to viciously squash the side of his mental voice trying to convince him.

"Y-yeah, That's why it would be awkward..."  Storm mumbled, the blush only dusting his muzzle now. "Has nothing at all to do with the fact that somepony would be wearing another pony on themselves in close, very close proximity to one another, no siree..." He thought his blush starting to come back before he could squish that line of thought ants.

Pinkie Pie opened her mouth to go on about it even further, but then a snacks vendor showed up.

 

"Two jumbo colas, please!" said Pinkie, forgetting about the previous awkward topic entirely.

 

Pinkie paid the vendor and handed one of the cups to Storm Shine.

 "Oh, um Pinkie You didn't need to get me that.." Storm said, though he still took the cup hoofed over to him. "Here let me pay you back, I don't really need my money anyways..." He told her, reaching for some of the bits he kept on himself.

"I mean I get my water and stuff free, being a pegasus and all, and I only really work to help the community... The money I get money is generally used for snack food and guitar supplies and stuff..." Storm explained, rambling a bit.

"Yes, but Storm Shine," said Pinkie. "This isn't water. This is cola!"

 

She put on a fake moustache. "Now with 30% less sugar!" she said in a very fast voice like the one advertisement voiceovers use when they have to state something about the product but do it quickly so that the viewer will not understand.

"And I still insist that you let me pay you back for it." Storm told her. "And- Wait, is 30% less sugar a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked himself. "Ah, off track! Anyways, Like I said.. I don't really need my money, and I can't just let you buy me a soda like that with your hard-earned bits. So, please take this." Storm said, holding out a small bag.

"Fair enough," said Pinkie Pie as she opened the bag, reached into it, and took out the amount of money she had spent on Storm's soda, then placed the bag back onto Storm's lap.

 

She looked out of the window at the swiftly-passing scenery. "You been to Appleloosa before?" she asked Storm.

"Yeah, I've passed through there once before..." Storm replied, having put the bag off bits away... Somehow... "It was very....." He started, not sure how to phrase it. "..Dusty. It was very dusty..." Storm finally continued, knowing it to be true. "I don't understand the idea of drinking salt in the desert though...." He said. "It's like, 'I'm thirsty! Let's go eat salt!'" Storm shook his head. "It seems silly even to me..."

"Each to their own, I guess," replied Pinkie Pie. "And remember when Ponyville had the cr-AY-ziest Parasprite attack? I needed a bunch of musical instruments to lure them away with, but everypony just snubbed me, thinking I was being ridiculous. And later, BAM! I saved Ponyville!" She put on a pair of shades.

 

She took them back off. "Though it never seemed to occur to me to tell everypony that music was the key to solving the problem..."

Storm smiled. "Well, as you pointed out Pinkie.. Nopony even bothered listening, and even if they had.. Twilight may have dismissed it anyways.... Besides, you were in a hurry and everypony was panicking.. Makes it kind of hard to explain things." He replied. "And in the end everypony learned a valuable lesson, and you saved Ponyville." Storm said. "Hey, remind me when we get back, But I have an unopened barrel of Sweet Apple Acres apple cider chilling in my house, if you wanted to celebrate it.. Though it'd be a bit of a late celebration...." He told her, chuckling happily.

"Ooh, cider!" said Pinkie. "Yup, that sounds good! And who's to say it has to be for celebrating the defeat of the Parasprites? It could be for delivering all of those pastries!"

 

'He can do cool things with his body, he loves celebrations, he's fun, he's willing to help out the community for the goodness of his heart... if I hadn't already taken a peek into that alternate universe where everyone and everything is the opposite gender, I'd call Storm Shine my male counterpart!'

"Sure!" Storm laughed happily. "It can be a celebration of whatever you want!" He smiled. "For all it matters we could just call it a celebration of the ability to smile and bring joy!" He exclaimed. "Honestly, we could probably invite the whole of Ponyville.." Storm said grinning. "I've got plenty of cider stocked up, thanks to that deal I made with Applejack a couple years back..."

Pinkie Pie licked her lips in anticipation. "Stop it! You'll make me flood the train with my drool!" she joked, and then giggled. "Um, sorry if that sounded a tad gross, but still... you're getting me excited already!" she said, tapping her hooves rapidly on her lap.

"Sorry, I forgot about how other ponies get with it, since they don't have that large a supply at the farm... I always try to give Applejack a few barrels back once they get low, but that stubborn mare doesn't want to take it back because I paid for it... Which is nice and honest of her of course, But it wasn't just for her farm..." Storm said, grinning apologetically. "But also for the other ponies who might not get a chance to get any..." He explained. "The others in town don't stockpile and save like I do, they drink it fast.."

 

"Somehow even Rainbow, as fast as she is, often get's in line too far back to get any cider, so I'll occasionally give her a nice mug of cider that I had 'just bought'" Storm told Pinkie with a small smile.

'He's bought cider for Dashie, huh? We'll just have to see which one of us this hunk of cuteness gets together with...'

 

"I remember one cider day," said Pinkie. "One unicorn didn't want to wait in line, so she decided to cut in front of everypony else by teleporting. But when she appeared at the front, the place she was in caused her to accidentally knock the pony behind her over, who in turn, caused the pony behind them to topple over... and the entire line went down like dominoes!"
