Jon the VGNerd 891 October 27, 2014 Share October 27, 2014 As I haven't been active in a while, I figured that I wanted to give a feedback to the forums in general. As of this year... things have changed. While it has made progress from the past two years, I felt that my excitement for the forums have wandered off and never returned. It didn't felt the same as it once were back when I first joined MLP Forums. Sure I've been active before, but nowadays, it wasn't as exciting as it once was. Don't get me wrong. The new feature's nice, and Ponyville Live, although I felt that this feature jumped the shark, as there is another similar radio show that has been around before Ponyville Live came. Please don't take it offensively. Its a nice concept, and that its a W.I.P., but, more could've been there. Nice addition, but again, more needs to be there. Post-wise, I haven't been too creative on making posts on any topics. And for RPs? Lost interest in it. Same goes for the characters I've created, which turns out that making too much OCs means you'll eventually lose interest in them, in favor of making a new, better one that you'll be using it frequently. Even those that I previously joined has been collecting nothing but dust because I had gotten more interested in other things than the forums itself. While I still love the forums, it doesn't feel as exciting as it once were back then, and my activity on here has been lessened into other things now. The same applies for older users I've once met and befriended before are no longer active and have moved on into other things. With that said, I must say that while this forums do still stand tall, even with the problems running about, like the typical "brony" users who were nothing more than troublemakers, or those with troubled minds (no offense, guys. You're still great), the forums does not feel as exciting to me as it once were back when I joined the forums two years ago, and I felt that there are some additions didn't ignite the spark in me, as due to my recent activities elsewhere, my time on here has been ultimately toned down into other things. All in all, brohoofs and I hope things will get better and that my excitement on here will re-ignited. If there were any in me, of course. That's my feedback to the forums.
RainbowCash 127 October 27, 2014 Share October 27, 2014 (Sorry to anypony which thinks this has been written out of google translate trust me, I only had 4 hours of sleep last night -_- ) I agree some "Brony" users can become trouble makers sometimes within the forums, this year plus you'd lose alot of exitement from going into the forums since you are a veteran here at the mlp forums, so you'd expect that well that's in my opinion. And yes there has been alot of changes to the forums since you have joined same for me everything was so different but there will always be something new in the forums so it isn't always boring, Anyhow the forums this year have been great. ( Despite the long time in-active ) 3 Life is like a camera focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out....Take another shot! Jeric 46,873 October 27, 2014 Share October 27, 2014 @Jon the Bronynerd, I for one appreciate your feedback. I'll even be crazy and speak for the rest of the Staff and say we all do. Heck, I'm a firm believer that some of the best ideas are grassroots formed. The basic gist of your post is that you feel that you are missing that spark that you once had posting and contributing here. Are there any features, activities, concepts that you feel that MLP Forums and Poniverse as a whole is missing?

The basic gist of your post is that you feel that you are missing that spark that you once had posting and contributing here. Are there any features, activities, concepts that you feel that MLP Forums and Poniverse as a whole is missing? While I have nothing to suggest, there's already a site called Everfree Network, an MLP site that not only does shows, but also radio shows as well, consisting songs and remixes alike, which has been around before Ponyville Live/Pony.fm showed up. While both Ponyville Live and Pony.fm are cool, again, more needs to be there, as Everfree Network has been around and has gotten more attention. Not to sound like its better than either of the two. As for activities, I can't really remember the last time I participated in those, due to my time on the forums being completely lessened, apart from video gaming, to tell you the truth. ^^'
Simon 4,557 October 27, 2014 Share October 27, 2014 Poniverse doesn't actually own or run Ponyville Live. Ponyville Live is a media network similar to Everfree that has been around for about two years now. A few months ago they partnered with Poniverse to host a forum section on here and to allow people to use their Poniverse login on their website, but they aren't run by the Poniverse staff and certainly aren't a new website. Everfree and Ponyville Live are basically two different channels on the television set. While they are similar in what they do, they each cover different conventions, play different music, have different talk shows, and have different livestreams, and that's what makes them unique. Pony.fm is a separate website that is run by Poniverse. Unlike Everfree Network, Pony.fm isn't a radio show, it's a music hosting website which allows artists to upload their music for the rest of the fandom to listen to. On there you can listen to different pony music, download it, set up playlists, and a bunch of other stuff. While Everfree Network and Pony.fm both let you listen to music, they're quite different in how that happens. Pony.fm is more along the lines of Soundcloud or Bandcamp but for pony music. Anyway hopefully that clears up those three websites for you.
