Aces High wrapped a hoof around her with a light smile as his blush faded away. "Yes. That's exactly what I want to do. If you'll let me. If not, then under stand, the rejection and will take it with pride", he said while rubbing the back of his neck nervously with a chuckle.

*She literally felt a pulse go through her cheeks from how hard she was blushing from when Aces had wrapped a hoof around her. She looked in the kitchen at Dinky then back at Aces with a smile.* "Here's what we'll do, you and I can go out for dinner tomorrow night, I'll pay, since you have us Dinner tonight, and go from there, how's that?" *She said, silently feeling giddy on the inside from now having a date in the first time for awhile.*

Aces smiled at the proposed dinner offer and nodded. "Sure. What time do you want do this ", heaasked her and removed his hoof from around her just on the off chance Dinky looked in. He didn't want to say anything about it until they were actually dating.

*She thought about a time for tomorrow, bringing a hoof to her chin and tapped it lightly.* "Hmm, seven thirty, I'll get my usually sitter to watch over Dinky for the night while we go out and have ourselves dinner." *She said looking back in on Dinky, wondering what her reaction would be if she told her if herself and Aces would eventually be dating.*

Aces just smiled at her and put his hat back on his head. "You want me to come get you at seven thirty or what", he asked still smiling and he simply couldn't stop himself from smiling like a goofy lovestruck idiot. "But you really don't have to pay, I kind of insist on paying half".

*She shot a playful glare at him and poked him in his midsection.* "No, I insist. You went out of your way to make my daughter and I some good food for dinner, the least I can do it's repay you somehow, hence, the dinner, though it's not the only reason I'm going with you."

Aces High couldn't help but squirm when she poked his midsection. "Hey, I'm very ticklish. That's not playing fair, you know that, rifht", he asked as he put his head down momentarily. "Oh, all right... You can pay, fine. But if there is a seconds, I'm paying, got that", he asked, not wanting to poke her back for fear of messing things up.

*Derpy thought about his ticklish stomach and grew a small malicious smile on her face.* "Oh really? That's good to know that you're ticklish." *She said, giggling a little bit before going back to her usual bubbly smile.* "Alright, you got seconds if there is any."

"All right, then. But you never answered my question. You want me to come get you, you want to come here and go to dinner, or do you just wantto meet me wherever", he aasked wanting to get that sorted out quickly. "Um I think we eat done with the private conversation, so Dinky could come back rifht", he asked, not wanting the filly to be cooped up in the kitchen too long.

*Derpy gave and embarrassed smile.* "Oh, right. Yeah, you can come to my house, because I have to be there for the sitter and I still have mother duties to take care of. Speaking of which." *She turned her head to the kitchen.* "Dinky, you can come back now if you want." *She said to her daughter, who put down the book and trotted happily back into the room and sat next to her mother.*

Aces High slid over to the end of the couch and flipped through his playing deck of casino cards and pulled a card out and scribbled something onto it before shuffling it into the deck before dropping the deck into his saddlebags. "Thanks for coming over tonight, guys, you made it not boring".

*Derpy looked at what he was doing with a confused look, but shrugged it off as nothing important that she needed to know.* "It's our pleasure Aces, thank you for having us. You have been such a good host to us." *She replied with a smile. She looked at Dinky, who then gave Aces her thanks as well.*

Aces eventually wet and washed the dishes and put them away before tidying he kitchen and cleaning the brick oven out before passing through the livng room. " You guys could chill if you want. I'm just gonna go sleep on the roof", he said after realizing it was 8:00.

*Derpy looked over at Aces and nodded with a smile.* "Its alright, it's getting kind of late anyways." *She said, looking over at the time on the wall.* "It's nearing Dinky's bed time soon anyways, so we should probably get going." *She stood up and pulled her daughter onto her back.* "Thanks again Aces." *She added with a smile and headed towards the door.* "I'll see you tomorrow."

"All right, then. See you tomorrow", he said and climbed up onto his roof to watch the night sky. he always did though he didn't rightly know why. He just figured its was in his DNA due to Dusk Shade, which wasn't exactly unlikely. If the unicorn's magic had passed over, why nit his love for the night?

*Derpy trotted happily all the way home with Dinky bouncing up and down on her mother's head with each and every step she took.* "He seemed really nice mommy!" *The little filly said with a grin on her face. Derpy giggled and smiled as they came upon their home.* "He sure was Dinky." *She said as the entered their home.*

After a while, he finally fell asleep right there on the roof(like a boss lol) an woke to the sun on his face in the morning."Scram, Sun. You aint welcome 'round here.Go back to sleep s i can", he said as he slipped through his attic window into his house to grab breakfast.

(Has it just become a running theme now that we just constantly hate the sun now? xD)

 

*The next morning, Derpy woke up, feeling a little energetic about the day and hopped out of bed and nudged her only daughter awake to get her ready for school and breakfast. Derpy trotted happily to the kitchen to start making pancakes and hash browns for the two.*

(Not par se. He just doesn't like waking up in the mornings.)

 

Aces went in his fridge and rummaged around around he found himself some eggs and hat bacon. "Breakfast is served", he muttered to himself after cooking up the foods and running the dishes which he put in the dishwasher.

*Dinky trotted into the kitchen lazily, still tired from waking up. She stumbled a little bit while climbing onto the chair and waited for her mother to finish breakfast. Derpy passed her tired daughter a plate of food and got herself one and they are together. Once they were finished, the small filly grabbed her saddlebags and headed out with her mother to start their day.*

Aces really didn't do much in his spare time but he really couldn't find a job that suited him, so he just found ways to kill the time. He played a little Ponio Bros. and watched a little Television before sketching something in one of his playing cards with gray and yellow markers.

*Derpy went and dropped off Dinky at the schoolhouse, leaving her to run up to her friends as they went off and did what fillies did. She smiled, waved at Cheerilee and trotted off for a little bit before taking to the skies to her post at the post office. As she arrived, she greeted her manager, grabbed her mail bags and took off on her route.*

Aces went out to the park to kill some time ponywatching for a few hours before returning home for some lunch. He decided to make himself a simple salad, just something quick. After his salad he went and took a nap, for a few and took a shower, putting his hat out to dry in the sun.

*Derpy flew from house to house, delivering mail and packages, happy to see a few friends on her route to have small conversations with and left them with a smile and a friendly wave. Her lunch hour came by and she flew off home, still in uniform to make herself a quick sandwich, and headed back to work.*

Aces's phone rang and he picked it up to hear Storm calling to ask him to make him a new triple-necked guitar after smashing Triton 'accidentally'. He checked the clock and got some supplies from nearby hardware and music shoppes.
