I walk around Ponyville in search of a dear friend of mine. "I wonder if he's even out and about." I say to myself. Knowing him I knew he'd probably be in his house writing some story. Escritor was always the pony to write. I mean his cutie mark is a notebook. I get to his house and I knock on the door. "Escritor you home?" I yell.

*Is sleeping at my desk, dreaming* 
Hmm? *I yawn and wake up a litte bit*

"Who's there?" I ask, getting out of my chair. I quickly arrange my desk, putting my quills and paper in their proper place again. I yawn again, moving towards the door. I open the door with my horn, to the sight of my friend.

 

"Oh, Hi Ash." I say, half asleep.

"you ok?" I ask

"You don't seem very awake... It's like the middle of the afternoon... this isn't like you?" I say to my friend.

"So work on anything new storywise?" I ask. "Ah. You're still half asleep you don't need to explain anything right now." I just got back with a race with Rainbow Dash and well... I lost." I chuckle as I say it.

"I won only once but with luck... may I come in?" I ask.

"Sure thing, come in. I just haven't been getting much work done. I've been pretty stressed and I can't sleep." I yawn.
*Leads you to my sitting room*

"Want some tea? Or something to drink?" I ask, trotting to my kitchen. I open my cupboards with my horn, and get out 2 cups.

"Maybe some water or something..." I say. "Say have you been hanging with Rarity or Twilight for spell stuff?" I ask.

I look around your sitting room. "It's just that me and RD have been going at race after race trying to help me go faster. She says I could be as fast as her sometime... what do you think?" I say with a big smile on my face. "After all Fluttershy won't even try to race... you know her." I say annoyed a little.

Pours you a cup of cold water. Picks it up with my horn's magic and puts it on the table in the middle of the sitting room.

"I've been going to them yes, but I've also been studying and training myself to improve my magic's strength." I say, pouring my cup of hot tea. I trot into the room, tea still on the kitchen table.

 

"Oops. I've been a little forgetful lately." I say, grabbing my cup with my magic. I bring it back to the sitting room, and put it on the table.

"A little forgetful? Knowing you you sometimes to that." I say. I take a drink of the water by picking it up with both my hooves.

"I mean... You know... me being in Ponyville for a year now... I think I know you pretty well." I say grinning. I know I didn't know you on the first day I moved here... but did you go to the party Pinkie threw me? I mean... She said every pony in Ponyville was going to be there... but I never saw you." I say. "I don't know why I didn't ask you before... but I am just curious is all." I look at you waiting for an answer.

"I was there. Just too much too do and too much going on to tactfully get to you. Pinkie invited everyone, trust me. I left early though, I was getting sleepy." I said, taking a sip of my tea using my horn magic. Yawns again, the tea starting to wake me up.

 

"It was quite the party, but I should expect no less. But I enjoy your company now. Just hope you don't leave anytime soon. It'd be hard without you. You are the energy in my day. I'd be sitting alone doing nothing right now if you were't here. I wouldn't have improved my magic if it weren't for you trying to get better at flying." I said, taking another sip of my tea.

"My parents wanted me to go home to Manehatten but I said no. Trust me... I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." I say smirking. "You know... Over the past year of living in Ponyville I have made friends I never thought I would meet... Look at me talking about this again. I know I've told everypony this... You the most but its true." I say looking down. "When I first got here I was nervous... Not Fluttershy nervous but you know..." I say looking down.

"Starting new and fresh can be hard. Don't you ever miss your family though Ash? What about your sister and parents? Isn't lonely here?" I asked, finishing my cup of tea. I bring the pot of tea into the sitting room and put it on the table with my horn magic.

"I know you were nervous, but you've done really well." I said, giving you a smile.

I smile back at you. "Of course I do... But I really like it here. My parents forced me here and now I don't wanna leave. If I do and for good. I might go back to my old self... Plus now that I can fly better I can just fly to manehatten." I say smiling. I take another drink of water. I sigh. "With a little more work I will beat Rainbow Dash in a race!” I look at you kind of embarrassed. "Heh, heh. Sorry about that." I say rubbing the back of my head. "I got a little carried away huh?" I say kinda red in the face from embarrassment.

"Not at all! Just aim high, and soon enough you can achieve your goal. Rainbow Dash may be good, but she has an upcoming rival. I've seen you practicing. Your agility has gotten better. Rainbow Dash is faster, and that's about all she has on you." I say, laughing.

"Maybe you're right." I say in relieve. "But still... she's the only pony I know of who can pull off a Sonic Rainboom..." I say. "That's like... past the sound barrier." I say kinda nervous. "I don't think I'll come close with that..." I look down after taking another sip of water.

"It's hard to compare yourself to someone of that caliber. She's extremely, extremely talented. For someone who had a hard time flying for a while, you've come quite the distance." I say, smiling still.

"I remember when I tried using my magic first. It was awful. I spent most of my time working like an Earth Pony rather than a Unicorn. My classmates used to tease me about it. That's why I wanted to get better at my magic." I said, sipping my tea, slightly embarrassed.

I look at you with a smile. Hey, ponies teased me to. My whole life I never really wanted to fly because of all the stuff that can happen in the sky... But now that Rainbow Dash has shown me the ropes... I feel good about it and it's all behind me." I look at you with confidence. "I think maybe moving to Ponyville was the best thing for me."

"My magic is still pathetic though. I just can't get a handle on making shields without draining too much of my energy. I can fire blasts and attacks just fine. It's also embarrassing to drop a small bucking cup at times. Ugh, that was not funny at all." I say, remembering a bad time.

"Let's move on, how are things for you right now?" I ask.

"Pretty good... I mean it's weird being able to fly correctly and all but I guess I'm alright. How about you?" I ask with curiosity. "You know besides writing stories or magic." I say jokingly. I take the last sip of my cup. "I think you're doing good with magic but how would I know? I'm not a unicorn."

"So you're not secretly an Alicorn? Good to know. I had my suspicions. But I'm fine enough. What do you mean besides magic and writing? That's my entire life. There really isn't much else I do other than eat sleep and drink besides it. It's my profession. But I do need to stay sharp about other things." I say, finishing my tea.

"No offence... but where is your sense of adventure?" I ask. "Have you ever even been to the Everfree Forest?" I ask. "If you have great but if not... then why, sure it's dangerous but trust me, we're not gonna die or anything if we do go in there." I say with a smirk. "I guess I caught some of RD's sense of adventure when we were training."

"I've been a house dweller most of my life. I've never gone to Everfree Forest. Never. I don't think I've been out of Ponyville for more than a week. That's when I went to a writer meeting in Canterlot. Why haven't I gone? Eh, just never felt the need to go to Everfree Forest." I say, looking at you strangely.

"So why don't we go on a field trip?" I say smirking. "I grew up in Manehattan, Rainbow Dash actually showed me around Cloudsdale which was nice, and that's about it. And Ponyville but that's where I live now so I don't think it counts." I say chuckling. "Come on Escritor, trust me on this."

"Ummm.... Oh, alright Ash. I'll come." I say, gritting my teeth at the decision

 

"But this better be worth my time. I had a great idea brewing before I fell asleep and it was going to be my next masterpiece!" I say, babbling about random writer talk and over complicated ideas.

"Yeah, yeah yeah. So I'll meet you there?" I say trotting towards the door. "Trust me, if we play our cards right it will be worth it. And don't worry, you won't forget you "masterpiece" idea." I say putting quotes when I say masterpiece with my hooves. "It'll be fun." I say with a smile.

"Hmph! I'm coming. Just you wait you impatient Pegasus!" I say, putting away my tea pot and tea cups. I grab a satchel, and put a few pieces of paper, a quil and ink in it.

"I must document what I see. It could make for an impressive setting." I say, putting it on.

"Alright, let's make this quick." I say, trotting out the door.

I facehoof myself. "You've gotta be kidding me..." I say to myself following you. "You know why can't you just take a break once in a while... I mean you get so caught up in it." I say starting to run past you. "Anyway, come on slow poke!" I yell behind me. I also stick my tongue out at you as I get ahead.
