I honestly don't know what to think of this film.

 

So, the best visuals, like any Nolan film, are incredible and so much fun to look at. Going through the wormhole and...whatever Cooper went through toward the end, is exactly what I anticipated to see and more.

 

Besides that, wow, my feelings toward this film are all over the place.

 

Story-wise, I thought some things could have been left out. Everything to do with the farming just left me totally confused, and it seemed to be a little bit unimaginative, especially for a Nolan film.

 

Some of the casting had me scratching my head too. Matthew Mcconaughey?! That just...no. I could see Christian Bale in a role like this, but not him. However, he does sell those emotional scenes pretty well.

 

The part I was looking forward to mentioning the most, was the ending. Maybe it's just me, but that has got to be the most hokey, contrived ending to a sci-fi epic imaginable. I was actually kind of snickering, especially when he was in the hospital room and there's that whole warped baseball game and that house with the TV's and...oh my gosh! We are talking Lifetime Network levels here! But at the same time it felt like a dream, purely nonsensical and warped. Then at the last minute, I just felt confused again.

 

This film is being jumbled all over the place, and I can't decide if in a good way or a bad way.
