hippyman 30 January 8, 2015 Share January 8, 2015 My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: ApplejackHow did you find MLP Forums?: yahoo How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Started watching the original in the 80's, and got turned onto this version recently on the Hub Hi, I joined a couple of days ago out of curiosity, and out of a long standing fondness/love of MLP. Not to date myself here, but I grew up watching the original MLP in the '80's, so needless to say, I was ecstatic when this new version came out. Unfortunately, I have not gotten to watch too many episodes yet. I'm hoping that will change soon. Right now though, I'm catching up on the original series dvds. Also, if you have any questions, concerns, or experience any issues, please feel free to let us know by creating a thread in the Site Questions & Tech Support forum, so we can get you answers, assurances, and/or solutions! why was the 80's version dissed so much? The general idea that I've taken from various discussions, is simply that while FiM is targeted at families, and accused of being a show for little girls, the previous generations actually WERE shows for little girls, created to sell toys. That's a generalization.
