TheNewVinylScratch 4 January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Ok, so I have an Xbox 360 slim, i didn't know it was the slim until today when I tried to download a dlc, before now I have only ever played skyrim on it. But now that I have more games and DLCs I can't fit it all on the small 4 gigabyte memory. I was wondering if anyone knows hoe to increase my hard rive space to say... 50 or more gigs. I have done some research online but I was looking for a cost effective and easy way to do this (as well as being safe for my xbox) any help would be great! That's the only way to do that other than buying another console because the 4GB Xbox 360 uses flash memory, not a hard drive, if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, Microsoft only made them in ridiculously large sizes (200+gb) for prices upwards of $120. You can find these at your local game retailer. Alternatively, you can also disassemble an external hard drive (they come in 20 gb, 60 go, etc.) for the previous iterations of the Xbox 360 and insert the drive into the Xbox itself as an internal drive. Be careful though, it's not really secure inside and can become loose by nudging the console. These are way cheaper than the official internal drives. Here's an instructional video on how to disassemble an external drive to put it into your slim. These days it's very easy to fill up several gigabytes just with a single game. Especially if you install every game you play like I do. I'm down to 70GB from my originally 500GB HDD. I've owned my 360 Slim for two years if that tells you anything. You can have memory USB Or you can buy a new hard drive and transfer all that memory to that and that. This is an alternative too. I have a friend who invests largely in USB sticks and keeps Arcade games, save files, you name it on them rather than upgrading his HDD. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You actually need a hard drive to put DLC on, though. Thanks so much, i'll probably just end up deleting the content for now then eventually get the official 200gb Microsoft hard drive when I have the money. Thanks This is an alternative too.
