Creedence ate with a smile on his face. This was the most he's eaten in a week, let alone three days. When he was done he lied next to the dragon. He glanced towards her, and started looking her over. Mostly at her face. Since he wasn't a dragon himself he didn't really know in terms of good looking when it came to dragons. But he was pretty sure she counted as... cute?

 

Mostly because of the blushing and purring.  It was very endearing, at last to him.  But his attention was mostly drawn to her eyes.  He always had a thing for green eyes. It didn't matter whom they belong to either.

Out of the corner of her eye, Gale noticed that Creedence was looking at her, but she didn't really pay much attention to that. "So, why were you heading through the everfree forest. Most ponies don't come in here unless they know their way around." She said, slightly curious.

"Well I'm on my way to Ponyville and I thought taking a shortcut would get me there faster. As it turns out I was wrong." He chuckled. "I just got done making a quick bit playing in a hoedown up in Appleloosa. Their guitar play broke a hoof so they asked me to fill in for him. Made about twenty bits. Anyway when I was done there I wanted to see if I could make some more bits playing in Ponyville. I hear spontaneous burst of song is like a past-time for them." He gave a light laugh. "So it sound like a good place where I could play."

Gale gave a slight laugh and nodded. "Yeah, that's understandable. I've heard similar things from a friend of mine who lives there. " She said. "Granted from what I heard, you could pretty much play anywhere and you could still get bits." The dragoness then smiled slightly and nudged Creedence playfully.

Creedence smiled at the dragoness. He sits up a little and and reached over to grab his guitar. "How about I play you something. As for thanks for saving me basically."  He slowly pulled it over and  leaned his back against the wall while he rest his guitar on his leg. He played a few cords while he tuned it. When it sounded right to him he reached into his bag and pulled out a large bottle neck, placing it around his hoof.

 

Next her closed his eyes and started to play.

Gale smiled slightly as Creedence played and felt herself relax at the tune. "You're better up close than from a distance." She said, blushing slightly. The dragoness then closed her eyes and gave a low purr as she listened to him play. The dragoness was developing somewhat of a soft spot for music, to be quite honest

Creedence smiled from the compliment. A few time during his playing his eye cracked open to steal a look at the relaxed dragoness. Wish made him song to to a soft tone for some reason.  As he got close to finishing his good eyes was fully open and looking at her. Just lingering on her face. When he was done he rest his guitar on his lap.  

 

Not knowing what else to do, he tried thinking of what to say. Nothing was really coming to mind. So he just decided to let the comfortable silence take over.

Dawn opened her eyes slightly and noticed that Creedence was looking at her. She didn't say anything, but did feel a strange sensation grow through her body. It was somewhat warm, and she decided to fully wake up. She then laid her head against his shoulder and simply enjoyed the peaceful silence.

Creedence didn't expect her to do that. But he didn't mind. He placed his guitar in its case slowly so he wouldn't disturb her. He then leaned lightly against her. Like when he was on her back, her scales felt like soft leather. And cause of this, mixed with still being a little tired. It didn't take him long to fall back to sleep.

 

He moved closer to her so he could get more comfortable.

Dawn smiled as she felt Creedence move and soon fell asleep next to him. She dreamed of flying through the air with him on her back, listening to him playing his guitar, and walking through the forest with him by her side, among other things. She definitely considered him a friend, but could it be something more?

After a few hours of a restful sleep, Creedence woke up slowly. Being very comfortable didn't help much. He let out a long yawn and sits up. He sees that he was cuddling up with his new dragoness companion. He just smiled and pets her head gently before getting up. He started moving around a bit so he could get his strength back. While he did then he head to the stream to get some water, maybe catch something to eat.

Gale shifted slightly in her sleep and woke up when she didn't feel Creeedence. "I wonder where he went off to." The dragoness then stood and stretched slightly, before flying into the air to get a bit of an adrenaline Rush and to look for the stallion.

Dreedence was near a stream, He was leaning against a tree with his hat covering his eyes while he hold a hoof made fishing poll. This wasn't the first time he's been fishing. When you're low on food you cant afford to be picky. While he sat there he seemed rather relaxed, just waiting for a nibble.

Dawn sighed as she landed on top of a hill and stretched. She liked getting into the air and flying, but it was another thing to pull up when you almost hit the ground at little under a hundred miles per hour. Truth be told, she was a bit of an adrenaline junkie. The dragoness then noticed Creedence not to far from her and slunk towards him, trying to be as silent as possible.

Creedence's ear twitched when he heard the sound of foot steps. He had pretty good hearing and could place voices and sounds to things. Cause he could he could tell it was Dawn. So he stayed in his relaxed position with his hat still covering his face.He still kept a hold on his poll and kept it ready to pull when he felt a nibble.

Gale watched as Creedence fished and was somewhat interested in what he was doing. She didn't know that ponies could eat fish, but pushed the thought aside. It wasn't eally a problem to her. She then went to sit next to the pony and gave a low purr. "Hey. What are you up to?" She asked.

He lift his hat up a little so he could look at with his good eye. "Just doing a little fishing. Thought I'd make us some breakfast. When you live one the road you can't really afford  to be picky so I developed a way to eat things that most ponies would shy away from. And I like to think I'm a pretty good cook."

Gale smirked slightly and nodded. "Well, I can't wait to eat, then." She said. "And thanks for offering to make breakfast." The dragoness then looked over the waters and waited for a fish to swim by. At the very least, she would help Creedence in his endeavor.

"Not a problem, darlin'." He said with a smile as he kept waiting for a nibble. After a minute or two, the bobble  on his line started bobbing. He quickly sat up and started pulling. It was a little heavy for him considering he wasn't at full strength yet. He gritted his teeth pulled with everything he had till a fairly big large-mouthed bass  broke the water and land on the shore. 

 

Creedence grabbed a large stick and heat the fish's head with it, killing it. He wold it up by the gills to show Gale, with a smile. "Looks like we're eating good this morning." He laughed.

Gale giggled slightly as she noticed a second fish swim by. She reflexively made her head dive into the water and managed to grab onto her meal. She came up and set the fish next to Creedence, smiling. "Might as well help out a bit." She said, sitting next to him.
