I don't really pay attention to the Sonic timelines or lore but I loved the Sonic Adventure games and would love to play another one. I also loved raising the chao's and beating all the levels in chao karate. I had a red angel chao named Edge.

It's pretty simple.

The video games are almost all connected and for the most part the chronological order is the release order, though obviously not over a 25-year time period.

The comics are their own continuity.

Each cartoon is their own continuity.

I like all of them too. I have honestly read only a couple of the comics, but that's because I'm not a very big Comic person.

You're missing out. The comics have, without a doubt, the best story and characterization of the Sonic universe. For example: Around the end of the Endgame saga (issue 50-ish) they finally defeated Robotnik for the first time and peace returned to the world for awhile. King Acorn, Sally's father, also made a return to the real world from his long time away in The Void. With King Acorn back and taking his place on the throne again Sonic and Sally were no longer the leaders. Sally was forbidden to see Sonic since she was highborn and he wasn't on top of Sally being a part of a sacred lineage that required specific breeding (or something. I don't remember) Sonic also had to adjust to a peaceful society and got in a lot of trouble with King Acorn over being too ready for action to the point that he actually made a situation worse since it wasn't actually a major deal. Sonic was too jumpy and too used to having to combat trouble.

That plot line by itself is better than nearly all of the games' stories put together.

I'm glad you've had a good time here. Many places on the internet are not much better than sewers, so we do what we can to keep this a civil and welcoming environment.
