Looking for microphone advice

With my tax returns coming and season 5 approaching I'm looking for a new microphone to use on my computer so I can record some blind reactions.  Anybody have any recommendations on a mic that works well or would like to inform me of one that I should avoid?  Any info helps, thanks.

Look into Blue microphones, specifically Blue: Snowball. I have one and, while I wouldn't recommend it for singing or professional recording, it definitely does it's job as far as relatively inexpensive mics go ($30-$50) and for what you're doing I think it will work fine.

Your very own Victorian-styling, airship-flying, super-sizing, brass-lining, quick-drying, detoxifying, low-pricing, newbie-knifing, over-driving, sometimes-hiding, unsurprising, ninja-fighting, perfect-timing, always-smiling, never-lying, best at writing, also rhyming automaton!

Well got the money today and put in an order.  In a couple days we'll see if that'll work for me or if I need to invest in some better recording/video editing software since my current options don't work too well.  Camera app likes to mess up and Windows Movie Maker doesn't really look that great quality wise.  May poke around there as well but we'll see how things go with the new mic first.

Thanks.

Hope it works for you.

I suggest making your recording area is as silent as possible, keeping the mic levels turned low, and bringing the mic close to your face. One problem I've had with it is that it is really sensitive and can pick up sounds like ceiling fans and loud voices in perpendicular rooms. If you do what I said above however you shouldn't have too many issues.

Blue snowball is a good basic microphone but if you ever want to do better sounding ones (vocals for songs) it falls a little short. Blue Yeti is a good step above it.  Here's some other recommendations from FIMMUSIC for those looking for additional advice.

I have a Logitech G330 headset, and it works like a charm.  Even when recording in open rooms and mildly noisy environments, you can't hear background noise in the audio at all.  The youtuber EthosLab (over 1.5 million subs) uses one daily, and his recordings sound professional.  It is $60, but for the price it's really good.  There are better out there, but none are as cheap.
