Any advice?

Does anyone have any advice on starting animation? All advice will be considered.

How much experience do you have?

I've dabbled in animation before unfortunately just don't have the drive to better my experience unless I take a class (Not to boast but I was the top animator in my basics class) Which encompassed simple animations up to humanoid walk cycles.

Well i'm not that experienced. The only practice i get is at school, however the equipment there is quite limited. e.g. mouse and keyboard. I have some knowledge in quash and stretch. 

I guess this weekend I'm going to give animation a try too.

Well enjoy it. It's fun. Though Hard.

Well feel free to PM me if either of you need help. Two sites I will suggest is vimeo.com/groups/aniref for animation reference videos and creativecrash.com for models, there are plenty of free ones to play with.There is also a youtube channel called Maya how to which has a lot o Tutorial videos.

 

If you want advice from me I only really have experience in Maya, hardly any in Daz 3d, none in blender. As well when I took classes we only learned animation so I don't know model creation.
