Two Week progression

I was flipping back through my notebook looking for project ideas I had previously written down and I just felt like I wanted to share what my day one looked like compared to stuff I posted just the other day. It has just been over two weeks now and even though I do most of the work and fixes on the computer iI am a bit surprised at the progress in just my doodles.

 

This first page was literally the first thing I had drawn of any sort in at least 6 years. The last time I tried actually drawing seriously was nearly 12 years ago; half my life ago. Consider this something of an inspirational post if you will, but put in the work and you can make good art. If you like to doodle but are afraid to let people see what you make I can not stress how important it is for you to just get over it and let people see. I truly believe this is the single most important reason I never got any better when I was younger and why I eventually gave it up.

I know I have said it at least twice already, but I once again feel compelled to thank this community and the mlp community as a whole. Everyone is encouraging, everyone seems to have the best intentions, and without the support everyone has given me no matter how little I believe I may have dropped art again after the first few days. I may not be the best artist and I fully accept that there will always be people better at it then myself, but the growth I have made in just two weeks just feels phenomenal.
