I want to write fan fiction, books, and stand up for what I believe. But I'm just a small town girl in Ohio that has family problems and motivation plus time issues. I was wondering what I could do to start some of my projects and stick with them. Also how do youtubers do it? Chip Circuit 1,842 March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 I tend to feel the same way, lately I've been writing fanfics and haven't stopped lol Occasionally I have a motivation issue but I soon get back to it. I'd say give writing a try, make yourself a character start writing and see how you like it. I can even help with concepts which I feel I'm good at I've been getting more into writing fanfics, mainly MLP since it has such a deep pool of creativity to pull from. I'm good with character and story concepts, so if you need help with a fanfic or something feel free to Private message me But don't be hurt if I have to decline if I'm tapped out for a bit. Otherwise I'm fairly good at it just sometimes I have to let my mind subconsciously think of some ideas. I've always recommended for newcomers to start small when it comes to weaving their world; say at a town or even a single place of business. Either start with your own world, or you can start with an established media like FiM and expand upon the gaps. As you expand your world you can, if you choose, add sketches of people, places, things. Maybe a map of a region; some art of the world itself. Or maybe you like music and decide to create some songs as samples of a region's music. Worldbuilding has so much to offer --it lets you anchor your creativity to a single topic and expand upon different sections as you wish, when you wish. Whether that be writing books or making videos, if it's something you wanna do, then you get out there and do it hehe. Being a YTer isn't easy I will admit that. It's something I hope will take off later on in my life but for now I make next to no money on it, and I only have over a 753 subs. This is nothing in the world of video making on YouTube, but if you love to do it, and your passionate, then you will go far and thats what I am to do. I can only encourage others to do the same if they have ideas.
