"Been better... I guess this spot will do. Could you be a darling and get me some water?" She gives him a big smile. Thinks: Milking this opportunity to the fullest! "Please?" Pouts lower lip for more sarcastic effect. Proceeds to then get comfortable for a nap, and assumes he said yes. "And make sure it's cold... This heat is harsh!"

"Alright, but don't expect me to be your maid while we are here." He said before  opening the emergency case and taking out an empty bottle and a small bottle of iodine. He closed the case and flew over to the pond. He filled the bottle and looked at the water, it was clear, so he only added 5 drops of iodine. He closed the bottle and shook it. Once he knew that the Iodine was purified and it was drinkable he flew back over to Cuddle. "Here you go" He said, giving her the water and putting away the iodine.

Cuddle took a sip, taking a calm relaxed breath. "Could always be worse I like to say. We could be in the same situation, without food or fresh water, and have some lurking creature always ready to pounce and seriously harm us. Right?" She smiled. She took another sip. "And you wouldn't be my maid... More like a butler."

Times rolled his eyes "I am not going to be a butler either" He said. He flew up to a branch, made sure it was sturdy, and laid down on it. He sighed and looked down at Cuddle. 'She better not use me like a butler or maid, if she does. She is on her own.' He thought. He the looked up at the sky.

Cuddle made a sniffing sound. "I didn't say anything, did I? Besides you're the only one who mentioned that. I sure haven't suggested the idea... So if you want to be in a fit with somepony, try yourself." Says loud enough for him to hear. Thinks: Sheesh, I ain't asking that much... Am I? Oh... He'll come around eventually.

Times sighed and closed his eyes. He decided that, after dragging Cuddle around, he deserved a nap. "I have learned not to try and argue with myself, it is bad for the self esteem." He said down to her. He was exhausted from pulling her around. To him, she wasn't a heavy pony, but she wasn't light either.

Cuddle giggled. Thinks: Whatever. If he didn't talk so much, I may have gotten the raft here myself, instead of getting injured. And as he said, it's not good to argue with yourself. So... I'm just going to blame him for it all. "Thanks for the tip!" Closes eyes for a nap as well.

Times yawned and said "No problem" He opened his eyes and saw the emergency case on the ground. He quickly flew down, grabbed the case and set it on the raft. He then flew back up and laid back down on the branch. He looked down at Cuddle, He started to feel bad. He didn't want to just leave her down there, what if a wild animal showed up, with her hurt leg she would be able to out run it. He sighed and decided to keep watch instead of nap.

Cuddle snores unpleasantly, as she drifts off into dreams of her past struggles, and adventures. Remembering the days of darkness outside Equestria, those days haunt her. She feels great that such a place is out of the ponies view, she was almost scared of what lurked out there...

Times yawned and tried to entertain himself while Cuddle sleeps. He flew down to the ground and picked up small stones. He made a small pile and with a sharper rock he carved a target on a tree, making sure it was far enough from Cuddle so that if it Ricocheted, it wouldn't hit Cuddle. He flew back to the raft and began throwing stones at the target.

As Cuddle dreamt, she dreamed of the dark figures approaching, and with a heavy heart, she fled at a companion's request. As she ran, she felt unease. Just as she turned a corner, it was a dead end! She turned around, a dark cloaked, strange looking two legged creature reached out for her, red eyes hungry. She woke up startled. "Just a nightmare... Where's Luna when you need her..." She saw the target. "What are you doing?"

"I was passing the time until you woke up. The real question is, what were you dreaming about..." He said as he reached for another stone. He noticed that he had thrown them all before she had woken up. He looked at the target before, turning to Cuddle. He waited for an answer.

Cuddle shook her head. "You wouldn't be interested... Just some of my travels... The one when I ventured outside Equestria." She gives an uneasy look. "It was the most terrifying place I've ever seen though..." She gets up, and limps over to the water for a drink, she was a little thirsty from the heat.

"I have been outside Equestria before, I have been to the Griffin kingdom, Zebrica, Prance, Germane, The Crystal Empire, and Saddle Arabia. Oh yeah and I have been on this island, so I guess I can add that on the list now." Times said, he then thought 'this island needs a name' He thought for a moment and said "Lets call this island 'The Isle of C&T' "

"You've been to decent amount of places... Not as many as me, but yeah. And why don't we look around for a unique feature to base the name on... Or Cuddleisland sounds nice..." She lapped at the water then laughed. "Sounds actually kind of cute." She looked over to Time. "Time doesn't sound cute at all... Not an Equestria style name..."

"First my name is Times not Time and second, It has its roots in Ancient Pegaus, not Equestrian" He said. "Alright, we will call it Cuddleisland... I would rather not get into argument about it... Actually it does sound kind of cute..." He said chuckling. "Also don't drink directly from the lake, it hasn't been purified." He said to her.

"This isn't the lake. This is a breaking point to it, and is fresh. I'm a survivalist, not an idiot companion. I don't know what you know, and same goes for ya. So, keep your mouth shut, unless you want me to do it for ya!" She has angry looking eyes for a second, then they return to their round happy state. "Sorry, I got loads of pride in my experience. Besides, if I make a mistake, it helps me learn to never fall for it again."

Times didn't get scared by her getting angry, just annoyed. "did You not think about how if you try to harm me, I can just fly away right?" He said. "Also yeah you may learn from your failures but if you get sick, I don't want to continue dragging you everywhere." He said before looking at her injured leg.

"Dragging ME around!? You need to learn to be quiet more often. I can't believe you're saying that you'd be dragging me around! All my life, I've travelled, faced daring foes, made friends with unbelievable creatures... Hay, I've done so much. I don't know where you get your attitude from, but why don't you take it, and fly away!" She huffed, and limped back to the raft. "You know what... You're fired."

He groaned "By dragging you around, I meant it literally. If you haven't noticed, I have been dragging, Drag, pull along forcefully, roughly, or with difficulty, YOU, Cuddle, along in the raft, the rubber boat." He said before looking at the sky. He sighed. "Why did I get the one pony on this planet that does NOT take things literally" He said under his breath.

Cuddle puffed. "I did. You just said it like it was a problem. And that is why I'm upset. What is the problem with helping a mare out, who would have done the same for you? Huh?" She then laid down in a fit. "Go and explore the island or something. Once I have gotten my injury healed, by Celestia, I'll put forth all my effort to get off this island." She covers her ears with her hooves and turns her head away from him.

"I will go exploring then since you are going to just stay here. Alone... injured... stuck... So Good luck to ya." He said before flying up a foot off the ground and starting to fly away. He looked back at her for a moment before looking forward again and continued to flying.

Cuddle stubbornly let him go. Thinks: Pfft. I don't need him! I can survive anything! I'm the toughest pony around, I mean there's heart of steel, but mine breaks steel. She smiles, thinking of how great she is, but gets another feeling. Loneliness. "Wait... I don't want to be alone. Can we try to not get into anymore fights. I promise to not advertise any butler job opportunities anymore. What do ya say?"

Times smiled and flew back to her and landed. "That is exactly what I wanted to hear. To tell you the truth, I wasn't gonna leave you here, I have a conscience. " He said before saying "Truce? no more fighting from this point on." He held out his hoof to her, smiling.

"Because I want to of course..." She smiled. "Fine. As you said, 'Truce.'" She shakes his hoof and laughed. "So... What were your journeys like? I have a whole load of things to tell you of mine! Ones that would scare any normal, average pony!" She shakes her head. "Nah, we won't get into those, they bring back some bad memories... Anyways, tourist to tourist. How were they?"
