Should there be a Brony shoutout in The Big Bang Theory?

In my Opinion, Sheldon is much more likely to enjoy X-men origins: Wolverine, Limitless, Transformers, My Lfe as a Teenage Robot, Transhumanism(the idea of upgrading ourselves to be demi-gods with science, technology, and chemistry), and something with trains in it.

Raj, on the other hand, might enjoy MLP, Monster high, and other quote on quote "girly shows" and see it as normal. Raj could be the one to redefine what it means to be men.

Sheldon would redefine what it means to be human(becoming a superhuman cyborg on NZT with a four digit IQ and some cool computer watch with a schedule).

If MLP was on The Big Bang Theory. I would actually have to stop watching MLP. I am not even joking, TBBT is the worst show on earth. As much as i love MLP, but seeing that in that show would just be the end of me.. Although i am not a huge fan of IT Crowd, its still much better if you people want an alternative of something subtle and actually have jokes rather than "OH WOW XBOX. X-MEN. WOW THESE GUYS ARE SO GEEKY. AMIRITE (Laugh track)"

Seriously?  TBBT would need Hasbro's permission to reference MLP, but it's not like MLP would be in any way affiliated with TBBT.  I cannot believe you would actually terminate something you enjoy because it's referenced on something you don't enjoy.  That's just very sad to me.  It would be different if FIM endorsed TBBT, but that wouldn't be the case.  By this logic, you would have to avoid every franchise, every thing ever referenced on the show, and that's an awful lot.  I guess it shouldn't bother me.  I don't know why it does.  You'd only be depriving yourself of something you enjoy.  I just can't see how it would ruin MLP for you.  Wouldn't it only make TBBT worse?  Why wouldn't you simply continue to not watch TBBT, but continue to support MLP?  It doesn't hurt TBBT to stop watching MLP.  It only hurts MLP.  I guess your logic is that the show is so horrible that Hasbro should deny permission to have their franchise mentioned, and that by allowing their name to used, Hasbro will have sold their soul, and thus, we should boycott them?  I'm sorry for going on and on, but I just can't wrap my mind around this.

If people want stuff that is about weird people doing science, then just watch "Stein's Gate".

I think Sheldon would actually prefer "Stein's Gate" (I love it!) but it would be fun to see him trying to come to grips with Celestia raising the sun. I picture him just flatly stating a firm "NO!" during any mention of this fact of Equestrian life.

This isn't a pony related image, but I captioned it for the friend that got me watching Stein's gate. I'll put it in a spoiler.

I know that's a TV and not a microwave. My friend said she would shop it a bit to make it one, but never got around to it!

I think it would be neat, but I don't know how The Big Bang Theory would go about doing it. It would be cool to see two of my favourite shows come together but I don't know how well it would work out. I could kind of picture Raj being into it, but he's also a character who's poked fun at for being into girly things so I don't think that would do anything to help promote the image of MLP that Bronies might want others to see. The other male characters don't strike me as the Brony type. Maybe I would buy it with Howard.

Then again, there is an episode where Sheldon and Raj are thinking of doing dark matter research down in a mine and do a practice run in the pipe system of the university Amy works at, where Raj sells Sheldon on Hannah Montana. Of course, I was thinking that there's only one girl's show I think is worth taking underground, and that's FiM, but then I would make sure to take all of my favourite things with me if I were to end up somewhere dark and isolated.

To be honest, I think The Big Bang Theory and Friendship is Magic are worlds apart. A certain season 2 episode comes to mind when comparing the two series. In the episode where Sheldon tries to make a friendship algorithm, he goes to a bookstore and asks where he might find books in the field of making friends, and he's pointed in the direction of the children's section. That's a huge contrast to Equestria, where Twilight, an equally academic individual, has majored in the field of friendship and has earned the highest honour of becoming a princess which is probably equivalent to winning a Nobel Prize or something even more exclusive. Sure, that Big Bang Theory episode is ancient now, but I have a hard time believing Sheldon would buy into a series where Alicorns are responsible for day and night, and Pegasi handle the weather. Leonard probably wouldn't be the type to try FiM either, and all of the cast are well past the mean Brony age. I'd love to be surprised, but I just don't think a FiM reference is going to happen in that series.

I would like if anything pony was referenced in TBBT, but I don't really watch it anymore. Now if it was mentioned in the show, I would rather it was a three second thing in some shop than a whole episode. A whole episode would be too much for pony. Trying to milk as much jokes and a good plot would be hard without doing something wrong. Maybe someone like Sheldon saw some guy with a pony plushie and ask him why he had a girl's toy or something like that. I might be funny or else it could fall flat but I don't write the show.

Dun dun ddduuuuuuuunnnnnn!
