What will happen to the brony fandom if FiM stopped being made?

I like to relate this to when we're waiting for the next season. We'd have bronies still on here and making fan series and episodes. Some will make fan fics. Some will make music... But a ton will leave, because they aren't as hardcore.

Just because the show ends doesn't mean an entire community should die with it. For a Brony like myself, it is not the new episodes that keep me in the community nor is it the episodes themselves. It's mainly the world and the community itself as a whole. I regard a magnificent site like this one as my first home and I don't need new episodes to keep me here and in the community.

 

But there are many other aspects with MLP:FiM besides the actual show. Don't forget all the fan-make art, music, etc; None of that will die out. And hay, don't forget the wonderful conventions we have. Sure some minor Bronies are going to pack up and leave, but many of us will be unaffected when it ends.

 

Obviously it's going to end someday. Could be 4 seasons until the end, maybe even 1, However many seasons we're going to get, when it ends, it'll change nothing for most of us. I myself will be here long after G4 ends until the day I die. I'm sure it's the same for most.

 

Bottom line is FiM is not our fuel, at least for most of us it's not. Some most likely will move on but this forums and the community will live on forever. Sure the coming episodes keep the activity up but that's more like an extra when it concerns the entire community.

I reckon it'll stick around for a while, maybe a few decades, before it eventually fizzles out—before it passes out of living memory and people stop watching reruns.

The fandom for G4 won't be as big but G5 comes out and maybe it's better than G4.
