MLP had already been here for four years and a half, so it's not going away anytime soon. Most people who dislike the show are rather quiet about it, save for actual bullies and trolls. The ones that I find hypocritical are the ones where furries are f***ing pony corpses, furries growing giant to smash Ponyville or Transformers ripping Pinkie Pie in half. Face it, nothing has changed, and most haters don't want to openly act hostile to make a scene; that's the work of bullies. Your on the internet... how in the world can you not unsee anti brony acts? I've run into many people who do not like the show and even myself have been given quite the hard time about liking the show. You're anonymous on the Internet, that's why. The best solution to online cyber-bullying is to stop talking to these people and ignore/block them. What I usually do is - Ignore - Block - Report In terms of real life, not as much since most people I've met are mature sensible individuals. Occasionally there will be a few who feel like spreading hatred around. What I usually do is - Ignore (if it's towards me) - Politely yet firmly tell them to drop whatever act of hatred they're engaging in (if ignoring doesn't work or if it's directed towards my friends) - Fight (If none of the above worked and the haters become hostile) I try to avoid the third choice when I can, but if it's needed, I do what's necessary.
