Blueblood question

No clue on that matter. I think he is related to Princess Celestia or something but that's it.

On another note i was wondering if Shining Armor became a prince by marrying Cadence but that is probably right.

I mean that looks like what British royalty wears.

IMO, what has happened is that over the years, EQ has expanded & various other kingdoms have been absorbed into EQ.  The nobility are permitted to keep their titles as part of the deal when they join.  It is possible Blue Blood is descended from, for instance, Princess Platinum.

It is also possible Blueblood was adopted.

Faust on Blueblood. (If you find the final sentence of the comment odd, I assume the comment was made before the S1 finale came out)

So it sounds like Blueblood is descended from Celestia and Luna's maternal first cousin, and is about 52 generations apart, roughly speaking. So their great-great-great (etc) nephew with about 51 greats.

I've read Lauren Faust's comments about Blueblood being related to Celestia's and Luna's mother; but it seems that the direction of Alicorn lore is a little more complex than that allows. Hell, Celestia and Luna may not even have a mother as far as we know. The way I figure it, he's the descendent of the Royalty of a kingdom that no longer exists and is thus milking his long-worthless title; or he was adopted into the family like Cadance was.

Well, there's also this (off of derpibooru rather than the original source, so I spose there's a chance it could be fake);

Personally, I myself don't interpret the lore as ruling it out; I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the matter.
