Is anyone deceived about Octavia not having a German or Russian accent?

I just saw the teaser for episode 100, and I gotta say that having Octavia have a strong British accent was way too predictable and deceiving. Do you guys think she would be better off with a more East European accent?

I always thought that she would have a classy british accent from the moment I saw her in the first Gala episode. Stereotypical, I know but this is My Little Pony.

Not at all. I think most of the fandom knows Octavia's voice as either ObabScribbler's or Ellimonty, just as they know Vinyl as Nowacking. I was pleasantly surprised at how close she sounded to ElliMonty.

I was pretty much predicting that stereotypical British accent, so I won't complain.

Although I admit that the British accent is a bit too stereotypical, it doesn't get any complain from my part.

 

I would have loved other accent, probably more from the eastern europe, but her current voice does the job, and it doesn't have any big problem that causes it to fail, and, being honest, I like it.
