MLP:FiM needs an "Evil Realm"

Having these badlands would kinda corrupt the show if you think about it..... Also more creepypastas will grow from it.

To me the best way to do it would be to use Grogar.  I'm not super versed in G1 but didn't he rule a broken land called Tambelon?

That was actually Grogar but you are close as Tirek did rule over a kingdom. He killed the royal family and cursed Scorpan who was the prince by turning him into a gargoyle and using him as a minion of sorts. Grogar and his land of Tambelon were sealed away only to rise again hundreds of years later. King Sombra was largely inspired by Grogar much like how Nightmare Moon was inspired by Tirek. Bringing back Grogar would be a great way to do it as would bringing back King Sombra who we find out in Fiendship is magic #1 is

part of a seperate pony race that are powered by dark magic who have been sealed away thousands of years ago.

 

 

 

Though, it would be cool for the canon ponies to meet evil counterparts of themselves. 

There is an entire arc in the MLP comic series dealing with an alternate universe where every good character is evil and every evil character is good.
