The two made it to the edge of the forest, even though it was light outside, the forest looked like it immediately cut off any of the sunshine, giving it a dark and ominous feel about it.

Ali looked into the dark forest, barely able to make out a tree 10 feet in front of her.

 

She tried to take a step forward, but her legs were locked in place. She was slightly shaking all over, and fear struck through her body.

 

"I......" she began.

"Ali? You alright?" asked strong concerned as he placed a hoof on her shoulder.

[Parties like Pinkie 385]

"I...... I can't....... I can't do it, I can't go in......"

[Strong Hooves 289]

Strong stood in front of her, both hooves on her shoulders, "Come on Ali, this is the one chance we have. Your parents could be in there." he said.

(enable panic mode?)

"I know it is, but what if I...... what if they..... what if we...... Oh God Oh God Oh God Oh God!!!!"

[Strong Hooves 289]

"Ali... Ali!" said Strong as she panicked. He tried in vain to calm her, eventually he only had one solution, grabbing her shoulders, he lowered his head to hers and kissed her. Not on the cheek, but lip to lip, in an attempt to calm her. He half expected a hoof to come across his face, but as of now, he didn't care.

Ali was shocked at the sudden outburst, and her hoof did, in fact, come up, but not to slap Strong, to wrap him in an embrace.

Strong felt her embrace and held her closer, deepening the kiss slightly as he did. Fireworks were going off in his mind, he was in total bliss. They eventually pulled away, in need of oxygen, Strong gazed into her eyes, his own had a look of something they had never had before, love.

 

"As long as I am here with you Ali, nothing will happen to you. I promise."

"I know." replied Ali, and together they set off into the forest, following the path.

Strong felt like he was walking on air, he finally got the guts to kiss her and she returned it! A small smile was on his face as he walked by her side. Not even this forest could darken how he felt that moment.

"I really really hope they'll be somewhere close to the path." Ali wondered out loud.

The two continued to walk the path, eventually up in the distance they saw what looked like candle light in a window.

(you decide whether it's her parents or Zecoras hut)

They walk up to the window to find it is Zecora's hut. ((too early for parents))

 

Zecora is inside, preparing what seems to be some sort of brew.

 

"Hello Zecora!" Ali called out.

 

((I've gtg for like 30ish minutes))

Zecora looked up from her brew and walked to the entrance, "Is that the voice of Ali I hear? Why not come in and visit my dear" she said with a smile. She looked up at Strong Hooves and her eyes widened, looking back to Ali she said "And who's this large fellow I see? A colt friend of yours, perhaps a special somepony?"

Ali thought about the statement, looked into Strong's eyes, then turned back to Zecora.

 

"A special somepony indeed, If he's willing."

[Strong Hooves 289]

Zecora smiled warmly at Ali, "Very good news I hear" she turned to Strong and continued "And do you return the feeling to this mare here?"

 

Strong needed no time to think, he smiled and looked into Alis eyes, "I do, and I always will" he said gently

Ali leaned up and touched nuzzles with Strong at the words, whatever doubtful feelings she had towards him shattered as she finally knew, fully and completely, that they were meant to be together.

There was no hesitation from Strong as they nuzzled one another.

 

Zecora coughed and spoke, "This is nice, quite heartwarming, but something tells me this is not the thing, in which you came here, so now I ask, why you are here, what is your task?"

((Umm, what exactly is rhyming in that statement? xD))

 

"Oh, yes." replied Ali, not breaking the nuzzle.

 

"We came in here looking for my parents, and we happened across your hut."

 

Ali's eyes opened, and she turned towards Zecora.

 

"Say, you wouldn't happen to know anything about the sort, would you Zecora?"

Zecora thought a moment before replying, "There is a house that I have seen, deep within this gloomy scene. Follow the trail till you meet it's end, then down the cliffs you must descend. You will find a river, cross to the other side, then perhaps you'll find where your parents reside."

"Thank you Zecora!" Ali exclaimed.

The couple thanked Zecora and headed off to their destination. The longer they traveled the darker the forest seemed to become darker. Eventually the trail ended, now they had to trek through the thick underbrush of the forest.

Suddenly a twig snapped off to the right.

 

"D-did you hear that?" she asked, walking slightly closer to Strong.

Strong heard the snap as well, and immediately placed himself in a protective manner in front of Ali. He stared into the darkness, not sure what to expect. "Who's there?" be said sternly.
