Hobbies section!

I am suggesting a hobby section being added to the everfree forest..... I feel as if general discussion is a little disjointed to be a good place to talk about other hobbies our members might have!!

 

So whatcha think?

I like this idea, having sections for sepcific people to meet up with the same interests to talk about them. Like me I like video games, so maybe have a sub-section devoted to forum members who like video games just to chat.

That almost sounds like mashing Creative Resources and Media and a good chunk of General Discussion into one huge forum. Just putting aside the fact that decreasing granularity may be bad UX, it took three staff members an entire month to separate Creative Resources into different categories so a video editor would not have to wade through questions about OC's, writing, and music to find topics that interested that person. 

 

On the other hoof you can over categorize (or make things too granular).

I have no problem bringing up the idea of taking Media and splitting it up into into seperate Gaming, TV & Movies, Internet, Music ... but this has never been a popular idea. Instead you can actually sort based on the Gaming prefix the topic is tagged with.
