Using MLP Footage Question

I'm planning on using 2-3 small clips from MLP Season 5 Episodes 1 and 2 for my trailer of my MLP Fan game, Twilight: Escape from Stalliongrad. And my question is that if I (or other people) use of any MLP FIM footage for our PMVs, parodys, etc.. And post them up to YouTube, would it result to a copyright removal?

Hasbro always has the option to put in a copyright claim, but's extremely unlikely.

 

Unless you're making money off of the video, you have fair use laws on your side.

 

There's also the fact that Hasbro is usually not aggressive with copyright claims.

It will be fine to use it because Hasbro rarely takes down videos, unlike other companies like Viacom and 20th Century Fox.

As mentioned above, you have fair use laws. But they can be fought with DMCA notices.

If you are tired of the copyright trolls. I suggest you upload the video to Dailymotion.

So what's with the major takedowns that happened a couple years ago?

Many of those were due to artists creating original videos with leaked show assets.

Others were due to pettiness on the part of a certain unsavory MLP fan and her DWM minions.
