Which movies/movie oozes the most style and atmosphere in your own opinion?

 

My top choices would be Alien and Bladerunner: for the H.R. Giger-made xenomorph stuff in Alien and the overall design/lighting in Blade Runner.

Hmm...that's a tough one. As far as TV shows go, Cowboy Bebop does a great job at building its own universe without going into needless detail or outright stating many things.

 

Can't think of a movie I've seen in the last while that really blew me out of the water atmosphere-wise.

Blade Runner is one of my all time favorite movie. The atomsphere and scenery are just incredible.

Sharknado creates some really edgy atmosphere.

2001: A Space Odyssey comes immediately to mind, along with a few other Kubrick movies.

 

For TV shows, Serial Experiments Lain is a no-brainer. On a storytelling level it's dense and confusing as hell, to the point where the art direction carries it completely.
