I think they should. The content that's on the show is a bit much for Treehouse TV anyways.

 

Corus Entertainment owns YTV and Treehouse TV. So we should make a letter and/or petition to them that we want to see MLP:FiM on YTV instead of Treehouse TV.

I think you're right Jonny Music, we should start a petition then.

I agree with you all, and I think MLP:FIM should actually air more often since I know that MLP:FIM only airs on the weekend at 11am on Treehouse (I think) and maybe perhaps it should air on more channels but who knows. The reason why I say it should air more often is because on the channel MLP:FIM airs on in America (Discovery Family, previously known as The Hub Network) there are usually quite a bit of MLP:FIM marathons and they play it everyday (I think). I have also found out that Family channel actually plays MLP equestria girls movies, because one time I was looking through channels and I saw MLPEGRR on Family channel and so I'm not sure if they will play MLPEGFG (If you want to watch it on the TV).

I think it would be more suited to YTV; it does have some material that's a bit much on the *really* young viewers.

As a Canadian Citizen, I agree. YTV should of been the channel to put My Little Pony on in the first place.

"I'm not signing it because I know better. Treehouse TV has a contract with Hasbro to air the show on their network. They can't just null a contract because some Online petition got a couple thousand nods from random people on the Internet.

If you want a real option, one that can actually work, write to Hasbro. Tell them that you're a fan of the show, and would like to see it expanded to a more general audience when the contract with Treehouse TV expires. A polite (polite!) letter-writing campaign directly to those able to enact such a change is much more effective than anonymous ticks to a petition.

Alternatively, you can choose to support the show by viewing it on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, or other streaming media service of your choosing. By watching it, you are building an analytic profile for the show (a collected data sample that shows what demographics are watching it). If Hasbro sees that Canadian Netflix users aged 14-25 are watching the show much more than the 2-6 year olds watching Treehouse TV, they might schedule accordingly in the future."
