ManaMinori 4,145 September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 I'm trying to assign more human-sounding names to characters that are named after various food or beverages. Example: character's name is Lemon, they're renamed "Eureka" (a type of lemon), character's name is Coffee, they're renamed "Demi" (short for 'demitasse', which is a small cup used for coffee) I've been doing research, but still struggling to find human-sounding names for "Milk", "Lime", "Licorice", and "Caramel". Does anyone have any suggestions for these, and care to discuss how the rename ties in with the original name? 2 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub

ManaMinori 4,145 September 25, 2015 Author Share September 25, 2015 Apple Tea Milk Tea Lime Tea Caramel Tea Mint Tea (i like cups of tea ) (there should be a Tea family!) i can see that. Heh. Thanks for trying, though those don't really come off as human sounding name, I'm afraid... I didn't mention it in the op, because I thought 2 examples to get the ball rolling was enough, but since you brought I up, there is a character by the name of Tea (just "Tea"), that I was thinking of renaming "Jun" (which is short for "Junshan Yinzhen", a type of Chinese tea) Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,534 September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 How about a character named Vanill? Short for vanilla. And perhaps Carrie to be short for Caramel? I am not the best with coming up with these types of names for sure.

ManaMinori 4,145 September 25, 2015 Author Share September 25, 2015 Milk = Milo Lime = Limdon Licorice = Licorina Caramel = Caraline are there sources for where you got the humanized names from, what inspired them? I'm trying to have the human names relate in some way, to the original, like in the example. So sources or explanation as to how the name you came up with (thank you for taking time to come up with them), would truly be appreciated. 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub

AmberDust 1,118 September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 (edited) Carmellina is a nice Italian name, and sounds like Caramel. Since most Italian words end with vowels, a lot of them can double as nice-sounding names. I'm just gonna leave this here: http://www.babycenter.com/0_baby-names-inspired-by-food-and-drinks_10310050.bc Edited September 25, 2015 by AmberDust Need help with your OC? I'd love to assist you!
