Neo pulled the folded black wool coat out of his bag and handed it to her. He looked forward and stopped walking. "We are not in any position to help anybody, nor do I want to. If I started going around helping people it would bring to much attention to me." He said before continuing to walk.

"but then...people will care, care about you and if something happened to you, how knows they might do whatever is in there power to help...its that feeling that I got long ago, I stood up for Malinda when she was about to be fired and then she helped me in anything" Eliza walked a little ahead of Neo "one of which was when I almost died, from my own mistake of trying a spell that was not meant to be used by such a low level magician...she was the inspiration to lock the book with all my magic power before I passed out on the bed from exhaustion so I would not do any spells till I was ready"

she wanted to ask 'running from what?' but she didn't want to slow them down even more so she just followed Neo hoping to get there soon. The cold, even with the jacket, got to her as she had nothing covering her legs from any kind of wind which made her entire body feel the cold that she never really felt before. She started eating the fish the dog gave the, it was very fresh meat and had no poison in it or anything so she kept eating till it was just a bony body and head "I think if you want to eat this, we would need to cook it...I can eat raw things but I know they disagree with your body" she held the venison as they walked

 "I am not going to eat anything that has been in a dog's mouth..." Neo said as he walked. "I probably have something in my bag I can eat" He added. He wasn't really hungry at the moment, and he could probably last until they got the Baron's Hold. He felt another cold breeze hit him in the side of the head. He looked at the trees, the leaves were golden, orange, and red. "We crossed the Season Line..."

"fine" she sets the venison near an ant hill "it will feed these things for like a month" she continued walking with Neo seeing the colors of the leaves "this is very new to me, why are the leaves those colors? I've only seen them when they were green" she just wanted to get the cold off her mind for a while and didn't really want to know the answer

"Do you really want to know? or are you just trying to start small talk?" Neo asked her as he walked. He doubted she actually cared why the trees were different colors... nor did he actually know or cared. He looked at her and waited for a reply. Another cool breeze blew by.

"your right, its just cold and I want to get my mind off it so it feels less cold and feel like its less time to get there...I don't want to read my book again since I know it won't detract me from the cold" she admitted as she kept walking feeling the cold hit her again "my legs aren't exactly covered all the way with warm clothing"

"That is why you should have brought more then just a dress, and why when we get to the next town, I am buying you a pair of pants So you won't complain"  He said before looking forward again. He stopped and smelled something in the air. "It smells like it is going to rain later"

"sorry if I rushed out because I didn't want to be found out from my parents...have to rethink my style if I wear pants" she responded to him then smelled the air "what are you talking about? how can you smell rain? is it just something you learn when you travel for a while or something?" she says still trying to 'smell' the rain as she walked

"There is a sweet, ozone smell in the air... the sign of a storm. We should pick up the pace if we want to get to Baron's Hold dry. I would rather not get soaking wet." He said as he looked at Eliza. He looked up at the sky, it was completely clear with only one or two small clouds.

"still doesn't smell or look like a storm is coming...but getting there faster doesn't sound bad" she starts walking faster than she did before "now if your wrong about this whole raining thing, I'll remember it when you say it next time" she felt another cold breeze "getting into a building would be good for the cold as well"

Neo look at her. He was getting tired of her complaining. He took off his coat and held it out to Eliza. "Here, wrap the sleeves around your waist, it should provide you with at least some protection from the wind. maybe then you will stop complaining about the cold" He said.

she took the coat reluctantly "sorry..." she shut up for a while as they walked to the next town "you know I'm sorry for being such a burden, you must hate me or something right? wish you never had this pain in the neck girl with you" she sighed feeling down. this isn't you Elizabeth, think on the bright side like normal, she thought "although I might just be mistaken...am I?"

"If I hated you, I would have let you follow that dog back there" Neo said as he walked. "I don't like you either, but I don't hate you... If I liked you I wouldn't do this" He added before flicking her in the ear, as he had done multiple times before. "Stop Complaining and Stop being Depressed"

"That's so childish you brat" she responded as she did many times before "You know how hard it is to turn from luxury to common? Very hard, I bet it would be as hard as switching from common to luxury though...well at least not with my teachers" she folded her arms as she walked faster "I know that being depressed won't help anyone, that's why I always try and fix it" she mumbled

Neo laughed at her reaction and said "That never gets old..." He looked at her because of her last comment "Common? Common people don't go from town to town changing their names. I would kill to be a 'common' person. Be happy you had a life in luxury..." He said, looking at her.

"well that just means its even harder then being a common person" she walks more not really knowing what else to do "plus my teachers are like the strictest people ever, if you fail one step or from my understanding, if you are not liked or respected by them, you will be punished very hard" she feels up her wrist as she walks some more "another reason why I wanted to go...I guess they did teach me something in there misguided attempts"

Neo was silent, just listening to her talk. " One of the Reasons I ran away from the Orphanage, What ever people tell you about Nuns being nice, they are lying. They are extremely strict and broke my wrist with a ruler once." He said, rubbing his wrist where the scar from where the metal side of the ruler hit it still remained after 19 years.

"I wouldn't know how being hit with a blunt object would feel like as they cut me and used 'healing' magic on it so tight I could barely feel my hand, and I never liked Nuns anyway as apparently to them I'm a she demon how needs to be rectified, well that the Nun said to me the last time I entered the family church" she responded looking at Neo's hand "sad that people like us have some sort of scar on them from people how hurt us as children...you know I guess I shouldn't try to defend them" she says remembering the one time they stabbed her vain and kept walking

He sighed before looking up at the sky, some clouds had moved in, but they still didn't look like rain clouds. "I hated that orphanage..." He said under his breath, clenching his teeth and fists. He looked at Eliza "Can we... please change the subject." He asked, un-clenching his fists.

I mean I told you about Malinda and how she was the best part of my childhood so I think its only fair if you tell me something" Eliza said not even being fazed by the cold or how her feet were getting a little tired

 "What I meant was to change the subject away from the past..." Neo said with an agitated look. He looked at Eliza and said "I don't have that many 'happy' memories. If I had good memories, you would probably know more about my past..." He said before looking forward.

Neo sighed "I would enjoy being able to settle down at some point... I doubt I'm be able to go back to my real name but It will be better then running all the time." He said as he walked. He looked at her "What about you? What do you plan on doing in the future?" He asked.
