BlinkZ 1,151 October 10, 2015 Share October 10, 2015 Simple really. I mean granted it is just a kids show so there that but does that Ponyville school have grades? I mean Cheerilee can't be the only teacher right. Granted maybe Equestira school isn't like our but just curious. Yeah i know over thinking a set piece, but what are your thoughts. If this belong elsewhere um feel free to move it. Zubric(fimfiction)
DJW 142 October 10, 2015 Share October 10, 2015 (edited) I am from a small village. At most the local primary (elementary) school had around 100 pupils, over 7 years/grades. For most of my time there was only three teachers, each one dealing with 3, 2 and 2 years at a time in the same classroom. I am guessing that either there are other schools, or Cheerilee teaches on an individual basis unless there is a wider topic that the episode needs to address. sweetolebob18 728 October 12, 2015 Share October 12, 2015 Well, Ponyville seem to be late 19th/ early 20th century USA in most ways. (Little House on the Prairie, if you've ever seen that show). At that time a lot of the country was small villages (especially west of the Mississippi river or in the South) & had 1 room school houses. They covered all school grades from 1st to 8th (14 years old) If you wanted more education, you had to send your kid to another town. The kids in class all seem about the same age, though, so it might be more than 1 teacher.
