go away seb 367 May 1, 2012 Share May 1, 2012 To me, the timeline is a cluttered mess. You have to scroll for five hours just to find a post they made about Celesia knows what. Also, I never found any kind of tutorial about the timeline. I even Googled it and I found nothing.
Crispy 5,563 May 1, 2012 Share May 1, 2012 So many people complain that they are forced into it... what sucks is I actually want it, and can't get it for some reason. The help center refers me to the Introducing Timeline page, and the button that's supposed to be there isn't there. Blackcat 205 May 1, 2012 Share May 1, 2012 I'm rarely ever on facebook but I will admit that the timeline confuses me when I go from my page where things are in order of post in a straight line, to a page where posts are left and right of my screen, sometimes in an order that throws me for a loop. It's a tad confusing, but I guess it works. I hardly touch facebook anyway so I guess I wont complain. Envy 6,169 May 1, 2012 Share May 1, 2012 I guess I don't even understand the hate for Timeline. I see it as no different from any other Facebook/site change. People always complain, and yet the changes hardly if ever make any difference for me. So it always just looks like people are complaining about nothing. The only Facebook change I really don't care for is the automatic sorting of the feed being set to 'Top Stories' and not 'Most Recent'. Yet I never see anybody complaining about that... Everything needs more woodwind!
3005 332 May 2, 2012 Share May 2, 2012 I think they're aware users aren't fond of it. However, it's horrible business marketing to go back on yourself. Think about it. If you release something, and you're a big company like Facebook, you want to fully support your own product. Going back on Timeline would just look unprofessional and tacky. For one, there's a possibility it'd create three different profiles: the old profiles, Timeline, and an unnamed third. Just like how they don't force users off the old profile, I doubt they'd force users who actually like Timeline off of Timeline. Simultaneously, they'd most likely be working on a Timeline followup. That's just too much, so rather than ditch Timeline, improving it is the best route.
