Emerald blocked dodged and parried the strikes made by Shoe she could sense the panic and fear in him, "it wasn't vampires that killed your mother or your teacher they were ponies like you and me, I'm not your enemy I am a guard for Luna's sake I catch criminals and put them in jail, yes they may of been 'vampires' but they chose to kill i haven't and honestly don't want too, I only fight you because you have taken Crescent away from me, why can't you see that?" 

 

Shoe lunged again in frustration and Emerald disarmed him, she stepped back "pick it up, I am a good pony do you think I wanted this? To be a monster for the rest of my days?" She sighed at him, "am I even getting through to you?"

"you....you don't want to fight?" shoe stuttered a bit being disarmed

 

"y-you really mean...no this must be a trick all you freaks need blood...right?" Shoe was a emotional wreck "this wasn't part of the plan, teacher wouldn't like it!" he picked the sword up again and began to strike again at emerald

 

***At the water fall

 

Cresent rolled his eyes and muffled something

 

"oh I think she will kill him, your all the same. im not saying Shoe is worthless, I think he can kill now in fact I hope he dose...but if he doesn't...well lets just say he wont be the first pupil iv cut from my teachings shall we say"

 

Cresents eyes widened, 'she was really going to kill him? no she cant be that evil' He pulled up by the chaines keept him in the cage

 

"oh to answer your question I know I can kill you know I just want to see your whole world burn just like mine did" Jadas began to laugh

 

Cresent prayed to Luna Emerald would not kill shoe

Emerald knew she was getting to him but she was going to have put her words into action. "Look I will put my bits where my mouth is." Emerald stood back and put her weapon on the ground and knelt in front of him. "You finish me then if you truly believe that I deserve to die because of something I had no say in then fine kill me. Remember my face because you're going to kill an inoccent pony." Emerald closed her eyes unsure about what he was going to do.

Shoe's seemed to break after that, he raised his blade at the level of the mares neck "you...you....no!" shoe moved back blade still raised now loosing it "this...this cant be happening, your supposed to be trying to kill me...I cant go back empty hoofed" it sounded like he was more arguing with himself instead to talking to Emerald "there has to be a way there has to be" he then looked at his sword with more of a manic look then of a scared one....."yes..yes your right that will show her...that will show them all!"  

 

he looked back at emerald "you want answers?!? well here you go because this world needs them!" he brought the sword up, emerald herd a deep Sinking sound then herd his blood beat began to slow down....

She opened her eyes to find that Shoe had impaled himself on his own sword. "Celestia no Shoe why," Emerald went to him she saw his life ebbing away in front of her, she looked into his eyes "I'm sorry Shoe but I must tell where Crescent is." Emerald could see in his eyes what she was going to do. Emerald sank her fangs into his neck she felt his life nearly gone but she focused on getting the information she needed in a few moments she had killed him and learnt the location of Crescent. She stood over his body "I will come back and bury you, it's the least you deserve." She took off knowing where to go she lands at the tip of the waterfall seeing Jadas "JADAS YOU'RE NEXT!"

Jadas turned seeing Emerald and smiled "well that took longer then I th-" she stopped seeing the blood on emeralds muzzle, cresent saw emerald he moved forward trying to warn her but was kept quit feeling the pain of the gag stopping him. He then noticed the blood on her muzzle, his heart sank. still praying to Luna for shoe's safty

 

Jadas only laughed "so how long did he last, 3 moves? 4? far less then you dear. shame really I will miss this" she pulled out her scythe

 

"now time for bed!" Jadas swung far faster then Shoe did at Emerald, she knew Jadas was going for the kill for real now based off the first attack

 

Cresent could only watch on....(play with this as long as you want for this fight and have fun )

Emerald jumped out of the way of the scythe as it passed her. "Oh we are going to be like that are we and I didn't kill him he did it himself you fucked his mind and he couldn't take it anymore I just had to find you here." She dived towards her over shooting landing behind her "how did you recover so fast from the other day?"

"sense your going to die soon might as well," Jadas turned towards emerald

 

"Sho was too much of an idiot to realize anything. I Stoll his life force with a spell that night, it was his fault you and your dear cres didn't die that night, so todays lesson was good enough. Shoe was week, Shoe was dumb, And you will join him soon!" the unicorn made another strike at Emerald this time catching a mean looking slice on her hoof as she tried to block the two mare were in a close staring contest

 

"its not my fault he showed up on my door step confused and trying to please his piss poor uncle, and their 'family nobility' if you want to pin that on anypony there you go lass!" Jadas nearly spat on emerald.

 

Cresent meanwhile was struggling against the chains and gag all the more ignoring the pain

"And ponies call us the monsters your really weird and ironic I'm going to finish what I started the other night you will die watching me suck the life out of you." She looked past her to Crescent "I'm sorry but Jadas will be the exception." Emerald focused back on Jadas she raised her hoof in front of her the wound healed in front of her "blood really has an effect." Emerald raised her weapon and lunged towards her.

As the two mares squared off cresent could only hear the heartbeats of the two do to the water fall being so loud. he only hoped things would work out, that hope was fadding fast as the mares fought.

 

Jadas blocked the lunge only to be met with another block by emerald as she swung in turn. Jadas was getting annoyed and emerald new it, Jadas teleported behind emerald nd swung for the vamps wings....

Emerald knew what was coming, ducking her horizontal strike, lifting her weapon catching her weapon as she pulls back her scythe. Emerald turns around "the one problem with scythes they are not as good as halberds" Emerald uses her strength to pull Jadas close to her "your going to die Jadas and no pony will remember you're name."

Jadas only smiled "no dearie I will be remembered, others will come after you" she strugeled against emeralds grip but couldn't find a way out "even Luna wont be able to help you, your a freak you will always be a target. you just don't realize how dead you are already. speaking of, dying" Jadas's horn lit up and a shot of magic spewed forth it past emerald and hitting the top of the cage cresent was in

 

Cresent looked up wide eyed as he saw the beam of energy hit the hook the cage was on tilting it slightly, a mettle groan was herd over the water falls noise. the cage was at an angel now and it was only a matter of time before the 2nd hook would break. Cresent struggled more

Emerald turned back to see the cage on it's way to falling down into the falls the kill would not kill him but he'd drown in the water, she turned back to Jadas and launched her front hoof into her chest the force of the impact knocked her breath out of her and broke several ribs. She turned and flew to the cage "I'll save you Cres!" Emerald pulled the cage from the edge then cut the second rope and the cage landed with a thud. She jumped of the top channeled her strength and smashed the lock on the cage and ripped him out of the cage, she turned to Jadas and started to fly back to her...

As emerald took off back towards Jadas Cresent was focusing on breathing but was abel to get out a "do it" before he stoped himself, this was her battle. It would after all ruin the lesson if he jumped in like this.

 

Jadas was also working on breathing and moving away from the falls, her magic was running low she would barley be able to teleport her way out unless she was able to-(slight god mod incoming) her thinking was caught off when a hoof grabbed her horn and slammed her face into the wall next to her. She looked up bleeding from the horn at emerald

 

"you...think...this will make you...better?" she asked. Jadas knew it was her last card to play and only hoped she could still use cresent to her advantage.

 

"cres...wont kill....but....will.....he..still...love?" she asked the glareing Emerald

Emerald looked at her the force she had inflicted on Jadas she lent down to the near broken mare, "you're words are poison and heart black with revenge you are a danger to everypony in the world even those you call ally, even now you're trying to worm your way out of what fate and I have in store for you." She leant closer whispering in her ear. "I think this once he'll make an exception for you, you're too petty to see it." 

 

Emerald lifted the front half of Jadas up into her lap, Jadas squirmed and tried to fight what was about to happen, Emerald lent down to her neck before she bit, she added "I said you that I would watch your life pass from you." with that she bit her and deeply, she drank with not regard of anything she wanted to cause as much pain as she could, she made it slow and it took several minutes for Emerald to kill her, when there was nothing left she dropped the body and did not even look at her.

 

Emerald walked over to Crescent she sat next to him teary eyed, "I...just...this...once..." She went in to kiss him...

Cresent embraced his lover and leaned into the kiss, all emerald wanted to say he could tell it was with this simple action. He felt her tears and hugged her closer he pulled away resting his chin on her shoulder "I know love.....I know" is all he said.

 

Cresent didn't know how long the two sat their but they needed to go. Cresent weakly moved up not realizing the actual damage the shock cage and gage did too him. It wasn't much shown by listening to his blood or any marks on his body but his nerves were all still screaming from the shock damage.

 

As the two moved up cresent found himself using emerald as a crutch just to stand, "sorry, the cage took more then I thought out love" he tried to laugh but it sounded more like a cough

 

Later in the forrest emerald and cresent were standing over the body of shoe, "poor kid, she truly did break him" he said

"yes she did good riddance to her, do you have a shovel at your house I want to burry him, he was manipulated into being a hunter by her and he deserves to be buried. But I will come back later and do that you must get home to bed you will need your strength Sapphire is coming tommorrow, I bet not even Luna knows what will happen." They moved slowly till they got to his house.

 

"are you right to fly? I can get you up there, I have the strength in me."

Cresent looked up at the night sky "oh something tells me she will about how all this went down. but that's just theroys I belive my wings are in good, AAAGGHH!" cresent began to spred his wings while he talked yet stopped the wing spred half way. His noise was more from the nerve pain..

 

."oh...ok...I might need a lift to the house..." cresent said blushing more out of embarrassment then the idea of Em carrying him. His blush deepened when that thought came up after words. He shook his head bitting his pride "ya I could use help love" he said

"that is ok there Cres, you're hurt you don't need to shrug it off why are males like that?" Emerald crouched under Crescent she then lifted and took her on her back, "there we go." she then with a lot of effort carried him on the balcony of his house, she then reversed the process and opened the door for him, "come on my little hurt bat in you come."

cresent grined at the mare getting up "yes nurse," he said sounding like a colt being told to do his homework.  kissing the mare on his way into his room. He passed a lever and pulled it forward and soon trotted his way towards the bed "sheds open now, I'll leave the patio open for you too" he turned back slowly laying down on the bed now looking at the mare  

 

"no more lessons today, give my respects to shoe. we've had a long day today. cant believe she ruined hid and seek for us like that" he groned a bit trying to get himself comfortable

Emerald walked over to him kissed him on the head, then walked back to the door "I will pass on the words, now rest I'll be back soon." 

 

Emerald found the shed and retrieved the shovel and returned to Shoe's body, his coat was pale and his eyes were lifeless and still, she walked over to him and closed his eyes. "you're a sad case Shoe the one that fell through the cracks and you fell so far, it's a shame we could of been friends in another world." Emerald picked his body up and carried it back to Crescent's house, she thought that his grave should be somewhere ponies could find it not in the middle of the Everfree.

 

She put his body down and started to dig, this took a long time most likely a number of hours. She sat back and put the shovel down "well Shoe this is the first grave I have had to dig well it's for you mate." She went over to his body again carefully picked it up again then laid it in the grave, in a dignified pose he looked at peace in the hole but the experance was awful. Again an hour passed as she filled in the grave.

 

She returned to the shed and found two planks and a chisel and hammer, she inscribed

"To Shoe you won't be forgotten

Taken from us by lies

you deserved so much more."

 

A tear came down her face as she placed the cross on the mound of earth, "I will try to see that this doesn't happen to anypony else Shoe." She kissed her hoof and tapped the top of the cross gathered the tools and returned them to the shed.

 

She walked in and got in the bed next to Crescent, "it's done he's at rest." She kissed him then stroked him with her wing trying to comfort him.

cresent was almost asleep when emerald kissed him awake, 'so that's how it felt' he thought glad to see his lover next to him. He kissed her chin missing the lips but still blushed all the same. As the two ponys lay their in silence cresnt hugged the mare close to him,

 

"tomorrow I think we'll stay here" he joked "things go down in the woods or so they say" he chuckeled a bit at the joke but soon sleep was calling to him. his tone went to jokeful to kind and serious  

 

"look love, we've been thru a lot together today, what ever happens tomorrow when your sisters comes over, just remember. I love you, your the best mare anypony could meet and nothing will change that....not even a snooping Luna"

Emerald giggled, "you're funny when you're tired go to sleep, I will to today has been rather eventful, in fact this week has been nothing but ups and downs, if dating you is like this all the time I might stop here." She said jokingly, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Next day...

Cresent woke up feeling glad about waking up to seeing his lover sleeping calmly. Blood may still be on her but this wasn't the first he woke up seeing this. He wondered how often she would have blood on the face, he tried to move yet his nerves were still annoyed from yesterday. He slowly got up and made his way downstairs, kissing emerald on his way up.  

 

He found the fridge and pulled out a blood drink hopping it would settle his annoyed nerves. Taking a drink and looking around he decided to began to tidy up the place, he didn't know what would happen today but something told him it would be easyer then yesterday

Emerald woke, to find herself alone but she picked up Crescent's heartbeat downstairs, she got up and cleaned the mess of her face and neck then went downstairs. Emerald came in and sat at her chair, "are you any better today, if you're not you can feed on me I think i have some to spare considering."
