"Discord! That bugger he turned me into a sheep two months ago grr..." Sapphire had a angry look on her face from that. "uh hem a minotaur sounds cool and that would be fine...Jon that sounds good Jon, well shall we make tracks then, you'll have to lead the way Jon."

Jon chuckled at Discord's tomfoolery at Sapphire's expense. "Hopefully nothing like that happens again today." Jon reached for the door to hold it open for Sapphire. As he looked up to the sky, he could tell that it would be a beautiful day without rain. The perfect weather to visit the zoo.

"Well I hope not through being a sheep was odd actually but I'd rather not experience it again." They headed in the direction of the zoo with Jon leading the way to the zoo. " So is there any other creatures at the zoo? Also anything you'd like to ask of me anything at all?"

"That would be a sight to see," Jon jested. The two ponies had begun their trot to the zoo. "The last time I visited they had some standard creatures, such as sheep of course," Jon said with a chuckle. "But they have a manticore, a minotaur, and even a dragon," Jon said with wonder.

"A dragon? How can the zoo have a dragon, dragons are sentient life what's it doing in a zoo? I know a dragon in pony that is awful Twilight will want to hear about this." as they troted "So how long have you lived here, were you born here or did you move?" She said with a smile.

"I'm not entirely sure how they have a dragon, but I assume if it didn't want to be there, no amount of ponies could stop it from getting out." As Jon pondered that question, the more he began to question the morality of keeping any animals in a zoo, because many of them were sentient. "I moved here just over a year ago. Until then I lived in my mother Goldie and father Jonathan Apple's cabin near Ponyville," Jon recollected with a bit of melancholy.

"you lived in Ponyville how come I did not see you? I mean I have lived there for what 3 years now maybe we've met before and just can't remember it I suppose and apples are you in the same apple family as Applejack? Wow the world is so small what a coincidence."

"We might have met, but my family rarely went into town. We only went to there when we need to get something that we couldn't make or find ourselves." Jon thought back to his time with his parents. His mother Goldie never got rid of anything, so they could almost always find what they needed. " As a matter of fact, it is the same Apple family, although we only see each other once in a blue moon."

"Really I mean I've worked in Sweet Apple Acres during the harvest, when they need the help I only do the guard work part time so me and my sister work odd jobs around town when we are not on duty so, well I bet we've seen each other before just can't remember it I suppose."

"Probably. In fact, we might see each other occasionally after you go back to Ponyville." Jon did still visit Ponyville from time to time, but he always avoided all of the ponies and just went to Sweet Apple Acres. The next time he visits he will be sure to try to find his new frie Sapphire. "Maybe we could meet up when I next visit Ponyville," he suggested. As they walked they began to see a large sign with the word Zoo written on it. It wasn't far now.

"I would like that Jon that would be nice I live close to the castle the cottage with the white roof, you can come and stay if you want me and my sister live there, but my cousins come to stay loads of times despite the face one of them lives almost next door, oh Summer I love you, you crazy pegasi and her older sister comes to Ponyville often Scarlet hell of a cook."

"I wish my family was that interesting. My family is awfully large, but you must have seen that before at Sweet Apple Acres. There is some good food though," Jon said as they approached the entrance. It was now about 10 meters from the two ponies. It seemed more busy than usual because of the good weather.

"i'm getting more put off by the zoo as we get closer, I hope that well I guess we'll see wont we." as they got there, "there are a lot of ponies here, I was not expecting such a large crowd but then I don't really like crowds anyway so I guess that is another thing."

"We don't have to go here if you don't want to. It's not like we had to pay anything to come here," Jon suggested to Sapphire. There were certainly a lot more ponies than Jon had expected when they were approaching. "Unless you want to look around a bit while you have free time."

"i'm kinda going off the idea of visiting the zoo, with the crowds and the questionable holding of animals, I don't think I'd enjoy it take me somewhere else, a nice building or a park. I'm sorry if you wanted to see the zoo just I don't want to know, sorry Jon." Sapphire looked at him with some sadness on her part.

"I'm sorry about dragging you here. Maybe we could go visit the park or museum instead," Jon apologized. "There is plenty that we can do. Neither of them are far. That's the best part of Fillydelphia. Everything is within trotting distance," he chimed, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Allons-y!"

"The park sounds nice we can always find a tree to sit under and watch the world walk by, there is just somthing about watching others getting on with their lives and it's nice to watch, well for me anyway do you feel the same at all don't want me having all the fun if your bored so tell me what you'd like to do then we can make a decision from there."

"I absolutely love doing it! It is one of the most calming things that I can do. It really makes the world seem more peaceful. That is something that I miss doing back at my family's house. It was always so quiet there, something that I miss in such a big city." The two ponies were now in agreement and had started the trek to the nearest park.

As they walked again Sapphire being led by him. "Do you have a fav spot in a part? Under a tree or near the little lake or on a bench or near one of the tables? I mean there are so many good spots in a park to just enjoy ones self or with a friend and such." She trailed off. "Just something about parks..."

"On a sunny day like today, I like to relax under a shady tree. I'm sure that we can find a nice spot like that under a tree," Jon responded with a smile. It was a hot day, and he couldn't wait to find some shade. There were quite a few ponies there that Jon recognized from there visits, such as Lyra, who was often around to visit family.

"How about that tree over there?" Sapphire pointed to a tree with no one under it. "Lets sit under that one." She moved over to it Jon in tow and they both sat down looking at the rest of the park the view was actually really good surprising that this tree was actually vacant.

As the two ponies sat in the shade they couldn't help but notice that the leaves on the trees were at their peak, meaning that soon they would be turning vibrant shades of orange and red soon. "So what is Ponyville like most of the time? I've never been there outside of special occasions, and they always seem to have a celebration or party."

"It's usually quite quiet Jon, really I mean Pinkie is always making parties for ponies birthdays but otherwise we are all just busy living our own lives in a little town there is only a few hundred ponies in Ponyville and the surrounding area. Me and my sister only work part time, I usually help the weather ponies and Em works at Sweet apple Acres."
