private Echoes in the Summer Sun

"Echo...words don't have any meaning for what I did I..." Summer lowered her head a walked onto the bed and lay next to him she looked forward she did not want to see his eyes they would find her actions wanting, She simple closed her eyes and lay there. "I'm sorry Echo, and Deja."

Echo backed off from her a bit afraid that she would bite him again and let out a frightened breath. "It was to punish her for almost killing that pony....you had to do what you did, I understand completely", he said quietly and walked over to her and kissed her cheek but she could feel from his heartbeat he was afraid.

"Echo please don't fear me, I could not bite you in a thousand years, you can have some back if you want." Summer lay still and tried to appear submissive she was not a threat to him in anyway shape or form she was trying to show that too him but she understood his fears.

Echo looked at her timidly and looked uneasy again. "I don't think I want to even look at blood anymore", he said honestly and shook his head and Deja returned looking more in pain than anything. "I'm...sorry....I probably deserved that from you.... I didn't mean to hurt anyone".

Summer did not move, but her words carried weight to them, "Echo's learnt the lesson I meant for you, and I've half scared him to death in the process Deja..." Summer could not think of anything else to say she lay them mopping she was so sorry for hurting Echo the was she did.

Deja looks sick and nods slowly. "I learned too...I don't want to bite you anymore....I just can't believe you hurt Echo so badly for what I did, he is terrified of you now, I hope you realize", she scolded rather harshly though she was completely honest with her at this point.

"I know I have, it was not worth it, I can say nothing to regain his trust." her voice tone changed and she looked to Deja, "you though get no such sympathy from me you did that to me before the other day, and that poor pony outside, you don't get to use that tone, Echo can but you can't." Summer looked away and started to cry.

"I know, I definitely deserved it. But you did shock some sense into me, so thank you, but you will have to make it up to Echo, and I can't help you do that, I'm sorry", she said quietly and put a hoof around her. "Don't cry though, he will come around, I'm sure", she said halfheartedly. She knew Echo knew he had no reason to be attacked like he was by Summer and wasn't sure how he would re over from the mental aspect if it.

"I will do anything he asks of me, anything to try to...regain what I threw away. He must know I never meant to hurt him you just share bodies I can't hurt one without doing it to both of you. Oh..." Summer was now sobbing with tears and she looked away, "I don't want to hurt either of you!"

Deja held the mare in her hooves and let her cry, she would cry beside her but she had run out of tears the night before from Summer's viscous feeding frenzy. She hled her close and kissed her cheek. "Its alright, you'll figure something out, I'm sure he'll forgive you with time".

"I will make it up to him, but I blame you for this, you're the reason I did that horrible act last night you would not listen to me i'm trying to help you, I love you both so much it hurts to be in this position." Summer was only getting these words out between sobs she was in an appalling state.

"Well, blame me if you want, but he blames you for not being thoughtful enough to spare him my punishment, he loathes you now.. Good luck earning his trust and then love back, you really did crew up though I admit to my part of the blame", she said calmly before walking back to the wall and receding to let Echo let out who watched her carefully guarding his body.

Summer looked away his eyes were like daggers to her, "please Echo don't look at me like that...I...I no I deserve it you look at me like that, I will just be here you can go home now, Deja is ready to go outside now my plan worked..." Summer resumed her crying, she could not think of anything else to say or do.

He was like lightning to the door leaving as quickly as he could and ran home to his store's second floor where he slept and fell into his bed trying desperately to sleep. However his fears kept him awake and he violently to see and turned n his bed as her vision haunted him, her fnags tearing into his neck and his blood being stripped away

Summer was in tears for hours until she went to Emeralds house where she told her what happened. "Summer that is, well I can see why you did it but you can see why Echo is like that now?"

"yeah I know can you talk to him?"

"I will but what it will do I don't know?" She left for his house and knocked on the shop door.

Echo's window overlooked the entrance and he saw the made he recognized as Emerald whom he slowly got up to let in. He opened the door with a blank face that held little emotion and looked past her into the empty street. "Welcome to Crazy Box, how may I help you", he asked in a clearly depressed tone.

[Mentis Soliloquy 3,025]

"Echo I'm not here to shop i'm here to talk about what has transpired before, and you wont talk to my cousin so we will talk." Emerald walked in and sat at a seat inside the store, she then patted a seat next to her, "she told me about what Deja has done as well." Her face was more stern.

Echo looked at her blankly and nodded slowly. "So kill me and be done with it, I'm better off that way anyway, since I can't be near her anymore", he said quietly and walked over to let her end his life. "I really thought that Déjà had her hunger under control, I was wrong".

[Mentis Soliloquy 3,025]

Emerald gave him a funny look, "i'm sorry what? Summer did not mention anything about me killing you, she served punishment enough for your crime and I doubt you will do it again from what she told me, I would of done the same in her position." Emerald walked to him, "look you did it to her and she forgave you in a second, she does it to you, aimed for Deja but you and you fear her very sight, you judge her too harshly. Echo she sired you she will never truly hurt you ever, you her child she is your mother in a sence, your ok now yes? She saved you from my wrath, now go accept her groveling and be happy with her."

"I never did that to her..you jump to conclusions, only Deja does these things, I did not, but you think all vampires have blood control issues or something", he asked her quietly as he looked at her. Summer he was a bit uneasy around but he would get right in Emerald's face to tell her she was wrong. Logic, again falling through the cracks.

"yes I know Deja did it but you Echo, you did not stop it she at that stage could of killed her and you did nothing you are the dominate personalty in that brain of yours you have veto of her don't give me the 'i wasn't my fault' treatment I've heard it before, we all have problems with blood, ever considered that Summer lost control last night she has no one in her head to stop her?"

"You're wrong. But I'm not going to argue with you, that won't make anything better, so just go please", he said a little annoyed that this mare thought she knew anything about how his mind functioned. "If she wants to talk she knows where I live", he said after showing her out. He wouldn't normally act like that but Summer knew he couldn't control Deja, she has as much sway in their mind as he did, he was irritated.

Emerald stood outside, "well I put my hoof in that, great!"

Summer landed next to her, "I did not explain the mind part well did I?"

"no not really, I tried Summer sorry." Emerald leaves.

Summer turns and knocks on the door she was praying that he would even look at her.

Echo really wasn't in the best mood for guests but a store had to follow it's hours and he opened the door slowly, stopping halfway when he saw Summer standing there. "Welcome to Crazy Box, how can I help you", he asked in a dry, deflated tons as she entered the small shop.

"oh you don't want to see me ok then I'll go you well you take all time you need love i'll just be at work so...anyway I'll see you around Echo...I love you." Summer turned and walked a few steps then looked back, a sad look on her face. She then took off and flew away.
