gaming Dragon Age makes me so mad.

I like it. But it's frustrating.

I don't know what it is with this series, but the stories always seem so over crowded with information. I don't really understand what people are saying in dialogue because the writing style requires you read between the lines (and since I have aspergers this is near impossible to do). There is so much politics involved and so much "he said/she said" type things going on, I lose track of who's who, and which group of people stand for what cause.

Half the time I have absolutely no idea what is going on during quests. If you asked me what happened I could just give you small descriptions of individual events that happened, and not the story as a whole.

I'm not sure if I'm making sense here... I kinda just wanted to know if anyone else shared my frustration.

I stopped watching the show a while ago...

It gets convoluted at times and sometimes, the codex entries are all I got to piece some information together. I think I remember reading about how people got angry or were disappointed with the Winter Palace mission in Inquisition just because it was "too heavy on politics" instead of the usual beat up the bad guys routine.

Not that I'm complaining, though. It certainly takes a while to understand where each of the characters are coming from (and even more so if knowledge on the previous games' is lacking. I didn't play the last two games so I was really lost)

I like the Dragon Age series, and I agree with you on a lot of your points. In my opinion, you have to play the games in order, read the lore, and turn on subtitles to understand the dialogue and what's really happening. Honestly, as EQ_Theta said, Dragon Age is a somewhat complicated game, lore wise. If it makes any difference, you can go back and look at the lore through tabs, albeit it's still confusing.
