Those drums...still too shallow...

 

Also, your lyrics weren't as good as the last one. They needed to developed a little more. Certain lines of this song beg questions, but they don't get answered. Also, it would be better to use "Mess with my rock..." the profane language is kind of a turn-off for some. 

 

All in all, decent, but it could use some work.

I f****** love your voice! Reminds me of a well known singer though I can't think who at the mo'.  The music was pretty good and I have no problem with the drums, but the voice really is the catch here

All in all, decent, but it could use some work. 

I make music for adult and mature audiences; therefore, I feel it's okay to say "fuck" now and again. "Mess with" doesn't have the same intensity, and I make metal so, I like intense. I also tried to stay within the same rhyme scheme as the original song mainly because I wouldn't figure out the original rhyme scheme, and thus a bit of the cohesion was lost.

 

The only part of the kit that I'd want to develop is the snare. I want it to be boomy, but there's a fine line between a nice percussive explosion in a snare and a loud hollow mess. I could go on and on, but mostly (other than the snare) I wouldn't change anything about the drums. I like the way they sound... except for that tinny snare.

 

I've mostly got the mix to sound the way I want it. I recently overhauled my sound completely, down to the hi-hats, and it's just down to my preference in tiny tweaks from here. Thanks for your time, though.

I get that a lot ("reminds me of a well-known singer, but I can't put my thumb on it"), but no one seems to be able to tell me who I sound like. I'm glad that you like my voice. I'm very new to lead vocals, especially singing. I've only been doing it since about April of last year, so it's been a learning experience. I appreciate the input. I'm glad that my efforts aren't going unnoticed.

When someone decides to include profanity in their music, they know that it will alienate a certain demographic.

I was going to respond yesterday, but it took a bit of effort to write this in a way that wouldn't be interpreted as confrontational or mean. So, if you get that vibe, I'm not trying to be either of those things:

 

I'm a man. I like drinking beer, dippin' Copenhagen, cussing, farting, etc. I really don't want children or sensitive people paying attention to me. I like making music, and would make music regardless of where it ended up. I share it because I think other people will enjoy it too. If those people don't like it, I'm not starved for attention. I don't need people to like me. I just do what I do, and I make music that I enjoy. If I create something that I enjoy, there's a good chance that other people will enjoy it too. That's all. I don't like to pretend that the world is a cuss free, rainbows, sunshine, and ponies type of place. I like being raw, dark, and musical. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm going to be me, and say what I want to say.
