She actually didn't want money, but she figured he would insist otherwise, so she just said a random number

Alain nodded "Good, good, We'll be at my abode soon, like I said when we get there make yourself at home, we got a lot of business to go over, I'm sure  you'll be bored to tears, but I suppose if you like to cook you can occupy yourself with that while I explain everything for you." they were in an older part of the city, the buildings no larger then five stories high  each

Emma nodded "Alrighty!" As soon as he mentioned the old days, she got hit by a flashback by the abuse she went through as young. Her personality did a 180 as she was reminded of the brutal merciless punches sent her way, and even flinched a bit as they hit in her mind

As Alian pulled into the driveway of his apartment he noticed Emma's flinching "Hey.... Are you alright?"  

 

He quickly opened the passenger seat glove compartment and fetched the first aid kit within, he didn't know if she had any medical conditions that the head master had hid from him, but he'd be ready to respond if Emma didn't say anything

Emma was tearing up as she stared straight ahead "Stop..." She whimpered as punch after punch "Hit" Her. She clung desperatly to Alian. She was starting to shake as she relived the part were she was forced inside an ice cold chest for 2 hours. As soon as she started shivering, the water damn broke and she started crying like crazy

Alain paused confused "Whoa! Hey hey whats wrong? was it something I said..... Something I did?... I didn't  run over someone did I?" 

 

Alain was desperately trying to figure out what had happened and how to fix it so his body guard and assassin would stop crying all over his car...it was both awkward and sad

Emma came back to her senses as her memory ended. She looked at her shaking hands, and slowly removed them. Her head was bright red from embaressement, and her eyes were red from the crying "I apologize... You are probably wondering what just happened, and let's just say that i'll explain in due time. Don't take this the wrong way, but i like many people have things that i don't want to talk about. But let's just say that my past was not sunshine and rainbows"

He hated being this business like all the time but it was necessary if he wanted to survive and thrive

Emma shook her head "No, this is actually the first time it has happened. Or first time that i lost control." She put on a smile "But i'll be okay now for sure" She tried to force the smile to remain longer but failed. She was also kind of hungry, so she let the thought of cooking comfort her

"Well then" replied Alain with some relief "Try to keep it under control yes?... Shall we go in then, we have much business to go over and it seems to already to be past noon" he checked his watch "Oh I forgot to ask, shall you be lording here tonight?" 

 

He Got out and opened her door, trying to be a gentleman

Emma got out of the car with a smile. Noticing his gentleman like behaviour "Yes, let's get down to buisness. Oh, and do you mind if i fix up some food for us while you lay it down on me? I'm kind of in the process of dying from starvation" Said Emma with a pout as she rubbed her stomach

"No no not at all." he unlocked the door and led her up to the quaint apartment "Just put your stuff any where... I like to think I'm a teenager in some ways." he chuckled a little

 

The apartment wasn't messy but most certainly lived in, the coffee table home to a few coffee cups and various papers strewn about "Kitchens over there" he pointed to the room over

Emma chuckled at his remark "Well, you know what they say. I'm a 13 year old stuck in an 18 year old body" Said Emma, laughing at her own joke. She walked towards the kitchen, and opened up the fridge and other places were their could be ingredients. "Hmm... We got some bacon, bread, beef, salad and some spices. Well, guess it's going to be burgers. You alright with that?" Asked Emma as she took out a frying pan

"As long as it clams you down I'll eat anything you make." he began to clean up a bit

 

"Oh by the way, I never mentioned, but working for me has its perks. If you ever need anything done, just ask me. I'm sure I know a guy if I can't do it myself. And make no mistake just because I'm a rich kid doesn't mean I can't do a few things myself." he smirked loosening up a bit in his own home

Emma nodded "Oh that will be noted for sure" She took out the meat and put oil on the frying pan. She also prepared some spices to add extra flavour to the meal. She started roasting 4 pieces of beef, and turned around to take out another frying pan to roast the bacon "Man your kitchen has a lot of things considering that you don't seem like one who cooks" She flipped the meat. She then took out the salad and cucumbers along with a knife and gave them to him "Here you go. You mentioned that you could do some stuff, so would you be a dear and chop the vegetables up for me?" Said Emma with puppy like eyes and a pout

Alain rolled his eyes and chuckled "Sure, if you insist." he grabbed the chopping block an d knife, ran the onion under the sink and began cutting it, followed after by the cucumber and other salad componets 

 

"So... why so sassy all the time eh?" he posed to her trying to think of some sort of conversation

Alain rolled his eyes and chuckled "Sure, if you insist." he grabbed the chopping block an d knife, ran the onion under the sink and began cutting it, followed after by the cucumber and other salad componets 

 

"So... why so sassy all the time eh?" he posed to her trying to think of some sort of conversation

 

Emma giggled "Sassy? I would prefer to call it my womanly charms, but what do i know? I'm not that great with that, teasing is my specialty though" Said Emma with a mock wink towards him. The beef was done now, so she applied a little bit of salt on it. She then readied the bread and put the bedf inside along with some bacon. She looked over at him "You done? A burger without salad is pretty boring"

Alain chuckled " really, I've never had my burgers with salad, usually  I have homefry's or something of the like" he handed her the chopped up vegetables none the less 

"...What a mundane life we seem to be living... how nice it must be to be able to do this more often" he sighed

Emma nodded "Indeed. But because of our unlucky lives, we are unfortunately stuck in this shithole known as reality" She applied the salad to the burgers, and handed him one of them "Well, let's eat! I'm seriously dying..." She took a huge bite of the burger, and let out a dreamy sigh "Wow! This is some high quality beef you have!"

Alain chuckled "Yes...being the son of an underground powerholder does have its perks" he ate at his burger "My compliments to the chief" he added with a smile then a heavy sigh "So lets get down to business shall we?.... I actually hope to make you my right hand...women, in due time, but we have to start slow, and you have to be willing of course"

Emma quirked an eyebrow "Right hand? I'll have to see how this goes before anything" Said Emma "Oh, and thanks for the compliment" Said Emma with her usual bright smile as she munched down the rest of the burger "Anyway. What is the deal then? I would like to know what you need me to do, so i can do some area research or anything to prepare"

"Well the first thing is simple, accompany me to a meeting.  I have this orginaztion that would like to speak with me and I would perfer if I had some trust. I'll be honest I have a feeling this will go sour, but if there are only two of us they won't suspect much and will be low in number."

"Unfortunately I want to send this people a message, I would prefer non-fatle wounds but if you must, then I will not mourn their deaths" he said plainly

Emma nodded "Yeah, i agree with that. However we should give me some sort of different identity instead of a bodyguard. If you appear with only one, then they might think either two things. One, that you are batshit insane, or two, that your bodyguard can wipe them all out in an instant, meaning they'll increase security. So how about i act as your... Helper?" She didn't really know what to call herself in that situation, so she just went for something that fit a little bit.  

 

With a serious face, she nodded at his second remark "Understood"
