Stanley wakes up from a horrible nightmare as the ocean waves strike against the Stan-O-war II. It's been almost a year since he's been out in the sea with Ford, finding ancient relics , solving mysteries and going through adventures he's dreamed of since they were children.

 

Yet It's not all sunshine and rainbows,  every night since the day they stopped Bill , he's had strange dreams of Weirmageddon....sometimes he would relive the day through Bill's eyes all the way up to his destruction. Lately, The dreams have become more intense and horrific in nature as if they were attempting to drive him into madness.

 

"It's probably nothing" He tells himself as he tries to get back to sleep,

 

their next destination is one he's been waiting for for months, Summer was coming soon, and the kids had already sent a letter that they'd be coming back.

[BILL CIPHER 61]

(Is it past tense or present tense? I'll just use past tense)

 

Stan thought about their journey back to Gravity Falls, Oregon. He imagined the welcome party the town had been planning. He and the citizens would get to see Dipper and Mabel again. "But a year older...", he thought. What if they had changed? What if they didn't like him anymore? He would have to wait to know.

 

Stan watched as the sun rose over the sea. He slightly smiled and turned to wake up Ford. "Hey, Poindexter," he said, shaking his brother. "Today's the day."

 

As soon as Ford heard the word "today", he stood up straight. "Today...", he thought. "TODAY!" He grinned at Stan. Ford started imagining the quality time he would spend with the twins. He imagined Dipper and him inventing and planning the days away. He imagined knitting sweaters with Mabel and the shows they would put on for the town to see.

 

Both Ford and Stan couldn't wait.

"WAKE UP SUNSHINE!"  

 

Wendy's dad screamed as he burst into the room with his axe, his tone was rather extreme but with an obviously caring undertone.

 

"Geez, Dad!" Wendy groaned,still groggy from bed, as she covered her face with her pillow. "It's like, four in the morning" She added, gesturing her father to leave, as she attempted to get back to sleep.

 

"GrAAAAAaaaagh!!!!!!" He screamed nonsensically as he walked towards the bed, lifting it up and breaking it in half with his bare hands as if it were just a tooth pick, causing his daughter to slump to the ground.

 

"I'm up....I'm up" Wendy groaned, scratching her head as she slowly got to her feet. "Today's the Day! Your Friends are outside" He smiled gesturing towards the window , Lee, Thompson, Tambry, Nate and Robbie visibly waiting outside. 

 

"Today's the w-" She barely finished her sentence before she remembered today was the day Dipper and Mabel were coming back for the summer. "I gotta go Dad! I'll grab breakfast on the way! and thanks!!!" She hurried as she grabbed her buttoned shirt and dipper's hat from the closet.

Stan and Ford hooked up the StanO' War boat and stepped up to the firm and solid ground. "Gravity Falls...", the brothers both thought. "Home."

 

All of the citizens greeted them and cheered at Ford and Stan as they walked towards the town. Kids rushed by, waving to the brothers. Stan could hear the children say things like, "Oh my gosh! They're back!" and "I can't believe it's them!" and "They're the guys who saved the town!" Stan couldn't help but grin at the publicity he was getting.

 

Ford smiled and thanked the citizens for the recognition and compliments. He patted the kids' heads, shook hands with the elderly, and waved to teenagers riding by on skateboards. "It's so good to be home, isn't it, Stanley?", he said to Stan as he patted a man's shoulder.

 

"This is just the beginning, Ford. The bus'll be here soon."

 

Sure enough, a big yellow sign that said "BUS STOP" was nearby. A sign next to it said, "WELCOME BACK DIPPER AND MABEL"

A young boy, a bit slimmer and taller than he used to be but still quite chubby sat excitedly on the bench beside the Bus stop, as the Stans walked over. "Gideon..." Stan groaned , his eyes showing a bit of annoyance and anger.

 

"Oh~ Hi Stanford!~" Gideon smiled with an arrogant tone as we swung his legs playfully over the bench. "I haven't seen you in  ages~" He added, still retaining his accent.

 

"What are you doing here?" Stan asked, visibly annoyed, He had thought that only he and ford knew that the kids were coming today.

 

"Oh, I just got a letter from my dearest Mabel that they would be coming back to Gravity Falls~" He giggled , taking the letter out of his coat pocket and swinging it around. 

 

"That letter looks to be addresed to Soos" Ford corrected, noticing the letter's address.

Gideon quickly hid the letter as Soos passed by asking if they'd seen a letter addressed to him. As soon as he left, Gideon took it out again, giggling.

 

Ford checked the bus schedule. The twins' bus would be arriving in five minutes. Ford and Stan couldn't wait. They saw the townsfolk arrive from all over Gravity Falls.

 

Five minutes passed. Stan could see a tiny speck of grey in the distance. As it came closer, the bus had the inscription, "SPEEDY BEAVER" on it. The citizens cheered as Dipper and Mabel got off.

 

The Stan twins couldn't believe it. Dipper and Mabel had changed. Dipper was a few inches taller and now wore a brown jacket and jeans. However, he still had Wendy's hat on, and he was smiling just like he was last time they were here.

 

Mabel wore a sweater with the words "GRAVITY FALLS!" on it. Mabel now had a slightly larger skirt and tiny hoop earrings.

 

A slightly thinner Waddles tumbled out, and Mabel picked him up and hugged him.

 

Smiling, the twins both waved to Stan and Ford.

"Mabel!" Candy and Grenda called as they rushed up to her. Candy was much taller now And Grenda looked like she had buffed up quite a bit. Grenda lifted Mabel up and hugged her crushingly tight. "You''ve grown so much!" Grenda grunted with a smile. "And your earings are so cute!" Candy added.

"Thanks you guys! I can't believe you all came" She smiled happily as she wiped a tear from her left eye before hugging them both. Mabel had been worried that her friends had already forgotten her and she definitely didn't expect the entire town to respond to her letter.

Dipper walked passed Mabel glancing at his sister's moment with her friends. "Hey dude, Nice Jacket" Wendy said cooly as she walked up to dipper. "W-... Wendy!" He stuttered, a bit surprised. "Uhm....H-...Hi!" He smiled awkwardly,He hadn't seen her or any of them in almost a year and He was secretly hoping Wendy would take notice of his height.

"Hey, I see you've gotten taller, man! Nice!" Then she whispered in his ear, "Now you're really a teenager!" Blushing, Dipper hugged Wendy. Her friends watched their moment. Tambry quickly took a photo with her phone.

 

"Hey, aren't you forgetting someone?", said Stan. The twins turned to him and Ford and ran to them. Dipper ran to Ford and Mabel jumped up and hugged Stan.

 

Ford placed his hand on Dipper's shoulder. "Are you ready for a whole summer of mystery?" ,he asked, grinning. Dipper smiled back and said, "AM I!" He hugged Ford, and a tear went down his cheek. He tried to wipe it away. "By the way, Ford, I've been thinking all year and I think I have some theories about the..." And Dipper and Ford talked away like the nerds they were.

 

Stan couldn't let go of Mabel. "Oh, I missed you, little squirt!" He finally got up. "You ready for some fun with your ol' Grunkle Stan?" Mabel nodded, smiling.

"Uhmmmm....Fellas?" Grenda grunted calling their attention as she looked to be carrying Mabel's Bags "This is pretty heavy...." She huffed.

 

"We'll help you out" Wendy offered carrying some of the luggage off Grenda.as the rest of her friends carried the others from the bus. 

 

"We'll meet you guys back at the Shack" Wendy added as she began walking away. 

 

"We should get going as well" Ford spoke. "I have something important to show you when we get there" He smiled at dipper. 

 

"Uhhhh....Speaking of the Shack...." Dipper wondered as he looked around. "Where's Soos?"

"The Shack sure is quiet today" Soos stated as he stood alone behind the cash register.
